Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

I know you mean this in a super positive way, but when I read posts like this my initial reaction always is "God damnit why do my fellow Bears fans love 7-3 games so fucking much?!?!?" I see more and more coming around to my life long dream of Super Duper Offense. My brother in arms @The ...

Re: R1 P1: Caleb Williams, QB - USC

I never thought I'd see a Caleb Williams draft thread become a Cade McNown thread. https://i.imgflip.com/6y9qe0.jpg Dude...we're Bears fans. We are conditioned to dwell on the failures of the past, while lamenting our general lack of promise for the future. For most of us, we are now in uncharted w...

Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas

He's going to take a year of development to be a 3 down DE. But like a lot of people have already said, he'll be a great 3rd down, "go get the QB" this year. One thing that was really intriguing to me was his length and power for a 245lbs DE. Watching some of his highlights, he was throwin...

Re: R1 P1: Caleb Williams, QB - USC

Watching his "20 minutes of structure" highlights. Not sure if I've ever seen a QB that moves up and around in the pocket like he does. He just glides around, always with his eyes downfield. I also have to say, when he throws off of a clean platform (or sometimes when he doesn't) his deep ...

Re: R1 P9: Rome Odunze, WR - Washington

With DJ and Allen let’s just go with him getting 700 yards this year. If he averages 1100 yards per year for the remaining 4 years we are assured we have him (using the 5th year option) he breaks the all time yardage record for a Bears’ WR while on a rookie contract. Freaking sad that the bar is th...

Re: R1 P1: Caleb Williams, QB - USC

I’ve been watching a lot of CW tape. Mostly from 2022. He gets into trouble with his hero passes. The jump passes, throwing across his body to the middle of the field, etc. but when he’s locked in, sliding around the pocket, and then throwing from a stable platform. Good Lord. He generates so much v...

With Allen, Moore, Odunze, and Kmet on the field. He should be able to throw for 130 yards blindfolded.

One other thing that Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze, and the re-vamped Bears offense will bring to the table next year. We no longer get the 5th string announcer and color analyst teams. It's only top tier for Chicago next year. LOL! :toast:

I don't know if Jones can play OG, but if he can then I'd keep him on the left and get Jenkins lined up next to Wright again. As it stands I don't see Jones playing inside as much as I can see either Wright or Amengadjie playing there. We have three guys drafted as OT all of whom can play OG. If Jo...

I really hope we don't use any of that draft capital to pay for in-season moves. I am now pretty bullish on the bears winning 11+ games, which will put us in the lower half of the draft. We want to be able to use that capital to ensure healthy (and affordable) roster turnover. We also want to be ab...

It's the unsexiest pick ever, but it really speaks to Poles' patient, methodical approach to building this team.
