Re: UPDATE: Future Head Coaching Options Discussion
I wish I could say that I had even the slightest bit of optimism about the changes we may see this off season. It does not seem to matter who the GM is or who is coaching this franchise the results are pretty much the same. The one thing they do consistently is lose and not just a year or two here a...

Re: Week 14 // Chicago Bears (4-8) @ Green Bay Packers (9-3)
gee ... uneven officiating that favors Green Bay ... what a shocking surprise the way it was explained is that Vildor ran himself out of bounds and did not make an immediate effort to return to the field of play ... apparently if one is pushed out of bounds, there is more leeway ... but the...

Re: Week 14 // Chicago Bears (4-8) @ Green Bay Packers (9-3)
Let's keep in mind that this is the NFL prime time tilt, and they do not want to see a blow-out so maybe the refs call it against the Pukers? Yeah sure. Tonga steps on Erin's turf toe and he hobbles off. Nagy has further problems with his headset and Lazor ends up focusing on the ground game to gas...

Re: Week 14 // Chicago Bears (4-8) @ Green Bay Packers (9-3)
Watching the highlights of the game on YouTube now. I'll watch the whole game later today. We had a 10 point lead at one point and then also the lead at haltime. Now let me guess, Nagy failed to make halftime adjustments and got outstrategized by a Frenchman? They were beat by a better team with a ...

Re: Week 8 // Chicago Bears (3-4) vs. San Francisco 49ers (2-4)
So you think a team that averages 14.4 points per game is going to score 40? Their high mark for the year is 24 against the Lions. One of the touchdowns in that game was a 13 yard drive. Forty points is a 3 game total lol. I'm glad you're getting a laugh out of it. Life is pretty dull without a tou...

Re: Week 6 // Chicago Bears (3-2) vs. Green Bay Packers (4-1)
Another Bears-Packers game and another loss for the Bears. So predictable and expected except for the most kool aid drunk homers. The last 60 games they are 16-44 against them. It's tough to get excited when you know it will most likely end with disappointment. What's even more depressing is knowing...

A dose of reality.
Last nights loss insured yet another season without a winning record. The previous weeks loss to the Packers ended any chance of making the playoffs which only the most ardent homers even thought possible. In following this team for over 50 years I have come to expect very little so this seasons fai...

I'm not sure what you are smoking but it must be real good. They have a much better chance of going 1-8 over the next 9 games. The offense is junk and Nagy is worse.

Guys, I keep seeing people forget how much further behind in development reps Bisky is compared to Mahomes or Watson (to whom he willbe endlessly compared). the kid had 13 games under his belt post-high school when we drafted him, and you can basically discard all of the games played under Fox-they...

Re: Wk 7 // CHICAGO BEARS vs NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
I hate to say it but I predicted this before the start of the season. Only twice in the last 30 seasons have the Bears followed a winning season with another winning season. Now they could still somehow turn it around but the way they have looked the last couple games I would not bet a nickel on it....

It's not like this is the first season with this offense. Trubisky has been very poor.southdakbearfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 6:41 pm A win is a win.

This is why Trubisky doesn't get the respect Bears fans want him to, perfect example. That was a terrible throw into Amos' hands. Double coverage, stared him down the entire time. He made no big plays and until he consistently wins close games, he will not get respect. Hated the O play calling toni...

Re: Packers fan here to admit: the better team lost.
The better team WON period! Good teams find a way to win just as bad or mediocre teams find a way to lose. The Bears had an excellent first half and they stopped there. The Packers made play after play on both sides of the ball in the second half. Had the Bears made just a play or two in the second ...

“The whole team got lazy,” Bears safety Eddie Jackson said. “We got too complacent, especially on the defensive side of the ball. We didn’t finish. We came out the first half swinging. Re: WEEK 1 // Bears lose 24-23 vs. Rodgers/Cobb
I'm reading a lot of posts about how this is a young team with a first year coach and a new system and while it's true it is a lame excuse as to why they lost! It would be a different story if they came out to start the game and looked out of sync. If they looked as if they did not know the playboo...

Same old story same old song and dance. Will the angry little dark cloud ever clear away from this organization? It is so hard to follow this team. I mean they make you feel great for half a game and then totally crap the bed in the second half. Any other team than the Packers and on national TV to ...

With just 8 winning seasons in the last 25 seasons it's hard to imagine this team doing anything. In the last 30 seasons they have only had back to back winning seasons twice. During that same span the Lions, Yes The Lions made the playoffs 9 times (nothing to brag about) to the Bears 7. Only Arizon...

2018 Season expectations.
This year is no different than most other years in terms of optimism among my fellow fans. I would like to share those feelings but this organization makes that really hard to do. Most teams will suffer ups and downs over time but this team seems to have mostly downs. When ever I try to think positi...

Re: 2017 NFL Draft General Discussion
This Draft and off-season makes me think.... The build through post draft cuts will be in full effect. Granted there will be quite a few good deals of solid vets, but this team did not gain a single player in this draft that is ready to start or close to it. Even the best teams should have 2-3 play...

9 of the last 10 seasons (I heard last night on the radio) out of the playoffs. Odds say we should make the playoffs about 40% of the time. And we're at 10% lately. Yuck.
I think it's weird how much this season bothers people. In a 32 team league, you should finish in the bottom 3 every 10-11 years. (The Bears haven't drafted top 3 since 1972) And having record-pushing amounts of injuries is about the best excuse you can possibly have for ...
