Re: The Cap and the Window

I agree that 2020 could be tight. However, by 2021 the new labor agreement will be in place so you can't project after 2020. Also the Bears have enough money in this years cap to lock up some contracts. After that they will probably restructure some players contracts for 2020. Based on production th...

Re: RB Prospect Talk: Trayveon Williams, Texas A&M

It seems to me the Bears are targeting 3 running backs based on their projected draft range. They are: Williams late 3rd to mid 4th, Mike Weber mid 4th to early 5th, and Alexander Mattison 5th or 6th round. Dan Durkin has written an extensive piece on each and you can read it on the internet-Dan Dur...

If we are willing to look at Hunt to serve his suspension then we should also be willing to sign Bryce Love and wait for him to be fully healthy-if he is still there in round 3. Campbell already has him going to Pittsburgh in the 4th.

It's hard to project without knowing the Monday, Thursday, Thanksgiving, and late Sunday games. The Bears should have more games in the above time slots resulting is some additional short weeks. I go 12-4 based on who and where we play these teams and adjust to11-5 based on unknown short weeks.

Re: How much is Jordan Howard worth to you?

I think we should keep him and probably let him walk after next year. Good running backs that you can control for up to 5 years are often drafted in rounds 4-5. With the salary for drafted players being what it is why should a team invest 7-8 mil on Jordan and give up a high draft choice-thus I vote...

My signings in priority order are Massie, Robertsn-Harris, and Amos. So it all depends on who we need to let go if any to see if the money works.

Real long shot not because of talent but because of cap space with more important others to sign. I hope he does well. Looks like we will finally be receiving supplemental draft choices in the 2020 draft.

Re: Is Danny Travathan on the way out?

Perhaps-one of these years the Bears need to be getting conditional draft choices and shying away from free agency. If we drafted well this year and next we will need to pay our own in two years with Mitch and then going forward. It maybe 2 or maybe 3 years but the time is coming.

Re: Predict the Bears 2018 Record - Post-draft Edition

I think the offense will have a quick strike element to it and will score more with less time of possession. Turnovers will be more the question than points scored. I have not drafted a Bears player in fantasy for three years now but plan to use Burton and Miller in some leagues and Trubisky in a tw...

Re: R2, P51: Anthony Miller, WR - Memphis

IMO this is a special player. So far three outstanding picks in what I believe will be remembered as a great draft. My guess is that Gabriel, Grasu will be gone next year netting $10.0 in cap. If White's injury trend continues that is another 5.0, although I hope that he makes it this year and in th...

Re: Update: Bears don't match Meredith offer, joins Saints

The facts are maybe we don't know what they are thinking. Maybe the reason is already posted. However, it might not have anything to do with the wr position. Maybe they think Nelson will not be there at 9 and the money saved would be get them either Robinson or Joeckle; Maybe Meredith was a down pay...

I don't think he takes Edmomds. He is a project and may turn out to be a HOF player. However, based on where we are now we need production now.

Re: Offensive Linemen Talk

So far in FA we have lost Sitton and Compton. Not adding someone from FA ($5 mil+ )or the draft rds 1 or 2 would be a mistake. IMO failure to invest in the offensive line would be so detrimental to our offense that even with all the additions to the offense our performance would struggle to surpass ...
