Re: The TE Position -- What are we doing?
Burton will be here for awhile the contract dictates it. Sowell will make it, he apparently solo blocked Mack, so even with the lost weight he still is capable of solo blocks. He's to versatile to not make the team. If Shaheen cannot stay healthy, he'll make the team Pace isn't one to give up on ear...

My guess is this helps Floyd the most, as I'm guessing they'll have him pass rushing primarily compared to his jack of all trades approach Fangio used him as.

Re: Former Bear WR Cam Meredith released by Saints
Weren't there quite a few peeps questioning his release from the Bears? In Pace We Trust!! All over the interwebs were armchair GM's saying this was a terrible move that they would regret; even going so far as to say why get Robinson who was hurt if they were worried about Cam. Halas Dr's and Pace ...

Re: How badly will Chicago miss Amos and Callahan?
I think it's important to look at what Pagano is going to do compared to Fangio. Fang used Amos at the line and sometimes a CB to blitz, taking advantage of Floyds ability to drop into coverage, even Mack at times which doesn't make a lot of sense. With that Amos and others didn't need to be strong ...

Re: Akiem Hicks film session... How he makes OL guys look si
Best think is there are other vids showing that he's helping RRH to learn all this also, or maybe it's the DL coach that has them all learning this. Either way it's great to see how the lines have to use so many different techniques all based on knowledge of the player accross from them, and that te...

Re: Breakdown of Trubisky's Decision-making, Mechanics, etc.
Kollman does a great job as always. I think he doesn't take into account how behind the curve Mitch is compared to normal 2yr qb's. His lack of experience in college stacked w/having to learn a new system w/mostly new weapons(timing) was going to make for a shaky season last year, but later in the y...

Re: R4, P24: WR Riley Ridley, WR - Georgia
What a great pick. Just straight stole a top 10 WR in this draft in the 4th round. I'll guess he allows the Bears to move on from ARob before that contract reaches its end, maybe they can trade him. But this guy is ARobs shadow in this O, go up and get it posession WR. Let's not get ahead of oursel...

Re: R3, P73: RB David Montgomery, RB - Iowa State
I wasn't thrilled about this trade up, until I saw his comp was Kareem Hunt; and that when Mark Helfrich was working games for ISU(i think) he came away w/thinking he was the best player on their team. When your OC and HC are going to be that high on a player the GM is going to do whatever they can ...

I'd be stunned if they got A Brown. They got 4 guys last year they aren't going to be getting rid of and Brown wants to be the WR target, he won't take sharing.

Not sure AR will hit the 1200+ range. I don't think it is needed either. Gabriel, Miller, Shaheen (hopefully) and Cohen will be grabbing quite a few passes as well. I don't think AR needs those #s for the team to be successful. My guesstimate is 1000-1100. Nagy's system is about spreading the ball ...

Re: NFC WILD CARD // BEARS (12-4) vs. Eagles (9-7)
If Foles isn't healthy, at least sore ribs from the sounds of it, do the Eagles allow him to stay back there and take shots downfield against the Bears crushing def? That is the biggest difference between him and Wentz, his willingness to stand in there and chuck it downfield to Jeffery, which opens...

1) Might well be Long, I don't think it is overly surprising that Howard had his longest run of the year w/a healthy Long back out there. btw, that run wasn't impressive, it was painful to watch, he looked like an old rb that didn't have much left in the tank. 2) I think Eddie Jackson or Hicks need ...

So how much of that 100% guaranteed contract is Minnisota regretting giving to Cousins right now? He was not good today. Meanwhile the Bears O again did a lot of time killing drives with key 3rd down conversions. That Bears defense, even the depth guys were beating up on the Vikes! Just a complete h...

There is no way Mitch is there at 3. Someone was going to move up to grab him. I think there is a good shot that KC/Hou and Cle were all looking to move up, to get Mitch. Now was that at 2, or 3 or behind there is never going to be a way to tell, but I honestly believe at least Cleveland was willing...

I have been critical of him and still do not think he is a great QB yet .... but he is continually improving, which is all you can ask for. He makes 1 or 2 bad decisions and sails 3-4 balls a game. If he can cut that down to 1 bad decision and no sailed balls we will win a lot of football games ove...

I've said it before once, but Biscuit reminds me of Steve Young. I don't buy the argument at all that it was Goff and not the defense. It was the defense shutting the run down and getting pressure on Goff that gave him happy feet which in turn caused his piss poor accuracy. This. Fangio crafted something special and the defense went out and executed. Fangio craf...

He made some really big plays down the stretch to help kill the clock in the 4th. SF was really good at limiting YAC so it was a slow and methodical, and that's hard for young qb's. Goff and Mullins both struggled in their games against the Bears in that aspect.

Great win that SF team is rough at home and they make that field trashy to slow up better offenses. Trubs played well other then that was unacceptable pass. He took what the D gave him and took a few shots downfield to help loosen them up. Def was tough that isn't a great offense but mullins and kit...
