Re: R1 P9: Rome Odunze, WR - Washington

https://x.com/SarahSpain/status/1783957396383023481 I love this kid  With DJ and Allen let’s just go with him getting 700 yards this year. If he averages 1100 yards per year for the remaining 4 years we are assured we have him (using the 5th year option) he breaks the all time yardage record ...

Re: R1 P1: Caleb Williams, QB - USC

I’ve been watching a lot of CW tape. Mostly from 2022. He gets into trouble with his hero passes. The jump passes, throwing across his body to the middle of the field, etc. but when he’s locked in, sliding around the pocket, and then throwing from a stable platform. Good Lord. He generates so much ...

Re: UDFA

That seems really high for a UDFA - unless PS salary can be counted towards the guarantee. 17 wks of PS comes out to 204k. So it would essentially be guaranteeing "you'll at least be on the PS all year or we'll pay you as if you were". But, even so, I feel like the 200k would count agains...

I am stupidly excited about this pick, I hope his game translates to the NFL and we don't try to tinker with his approach too much.

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

In some drafts, this would've been a reach. In 2024, the late fourth round is where everyone seemed to start picking RBs and Canadian linemen. Instead of a dart throw, we got a guy whose upside is perennial All Pro. Sure, he's a punter, but he's the only guy picked nearly this late in the draft who...

Re: R5 P144: Austin Booker, Edge - Kansas

Some quoted excerpts from Bob McGinn's annual anony-scout quotes. “I think he probably came out because the defensive side of the (draft) is lighter,” one scout said. “Shouldn’t have. You may not be able to count on him immediately. He’s a really, really interesting guy. He can be a designated rush...

https://x.com/ImBearingDown/status/1784289299753546138 Quick, good size and length, has some moves he can use, productive. He's precisely the kind of player I was talking about. He'll need to get bigger and stronger to play as an every down DE but for now he's a kid who can bring some pressure off ...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

Outstanding pick, it seems that all my Sundays/Mondays/Thursdays bitching about not pinning teams inside the 10 yardline/5 yardline may be coming to an end! For real, this guy played a huge role in saving Iowa's offense. His ability to flip fields and pin offenses inside the 10 yard line will be a h...

Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale

Agreed, guard/tackle etc who cares at this point. All the physical traits are there, let's just allow the kid to develop. Maybe he'll be a starting LT, maybe he's a hedge to Teven Jenkins / Nate Davis, maybe's he's a swing LT/LG/RG/RT. Either way, I am digging the investment on the offensive line. T...
