Re: Fields to return kicks for Pittsburgh?

I doubt Fields returning kicks ever materializes into anything, but if it did... what a wild turn of events.

I think it's gonna be the Saints. That team is on the brink of collapse.

Re: What about 2025???

Also, didn't Deion say his kid would only play for the Cowboys or the Niners? I generally wish the best for everyone, but I hope Shedeur goes undrafted. Any suggestion that Shadeur will only play for certain teams thus alienating others is ridiculously foolhardy. Only a few of the 32 teams will be ...

Re: Yes, a 2025 Dane Brugler Mock

I'm not trying to get too far out over my skis, but 18 feels about right. The Rams picked 18th and went 10-7 with a playoff appearance.

I'd be absolutely thrilled with that outcome.

Re: The 2024 Draft

I don't want to belabor this point too much because this is a Bears forum. But what the FUCK were the Falcons doing?? Yes they absolutely could have taken Rome Odunze, but they needed help on defense even more. So the answer was...blow a #8 pick on a 24 year-old late-first round ranked QB that's no...

Re: What about 2025???

I'll be honest, I'm eagerly awaiting Deion and his son coming to the NFL. Anyone have a list of teams that may need a QB next year? it's fucking wild that Shedeur has camera crews following him everywhere for his Youtube channel. I really hope to god that whoever drafts him has to put up with that....

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

This whole punter thing is crazy. There have to be enough FA punters to block out the sky. Or get somebody from a soccer league. I do not understand the fascination with people cheering us drafting a punter in the fourth round. I mean OK, a good punter is worth an extra X in field position. I agree...

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

Beecause winning shoot outs(or losing them) is alot more fun to watch then defensive struggles(imo). I want to celebrate passing records and touchdowns with my Bears family. I want to see an offense better than the Alshon. Bmarsh, Black Unicorn trio. Not punts being downed inside the 5. The punts s...

Re: Some last minute fill ins for the roster

Well the offseason roster limit is 90. Not counting the recent UDFA additions, the Bears have 73 players on the roster (including futures contract guys).

So they are going to have to fill out the roster for camp, but I would imagine the final 3rd TE comes via waver wire during camp cuts.

Re: R4 P122: Tory Taylor, P - Iowa

He has a big leg, but his ability to place the ball is what is most enticing to me. Rugby/Aussie Rules guys know how to put English on the ball and can make it bounce how they want. When you can pin a team inside the 5 it’s damn near a turnover as teams typically just try and create a little room f...

Re: 2024 Draft: Is This Our Greatest Draft Ever?

1983 was pretty darned good... Jimbo Covert Willie Gault Mike Richardson Dave Duerson Tom Thayer Richard Dent Mark Bortz And none of those players also involved paying an exorbitant salary which come along with Sweat and Allen. The payroll for the entire 1983 team was probably less than the $23 mil...

I also think 2025 is going to be a pretty meat and potatoes draft for the Bears. DT, LB, OG, FS...maybe a late WR. Those are the positions I see needing filled next year.

Re: The 2024 Draft

Jenkins is my favorite current Bear by a large margin. I love isolating his play. But I too think he's on the way out. And I don't even think it's because of injuries. He hasn't had a back problem since he started taking Pilates (hear that DP ;)). We have Braxton's contract coming due in two years ...

Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale

I also think you could slide Braxton inside for 2025 and have him play RG when the Bears cut Davis' ass for another year of futility. What if our starting OL in 2025 was; Amegadjie - Jenkins - Shelton - Jones - Wright I don't know if Jones can play OG, but if he can then I'd keep him on the left an...

He’s got over 700 highly graded snaps at guard. So yeah. yeah, but also every time an OT enters Halas Hall you mention here that he's probably a guard, so you know, boy who cried wolf kinda thing.
