It's that time again! The 8th annual Bears Fans Online Draft Contest!

Last year SC_Bear and G08 split the prize (also I beat WAB by a point, which I aim to do again). Who of you will rise to the occasion?

GOAL

Submit your complete 32-pick first round of the NFL 2017 draft, and aim for perfection! Get points for correct picks and trades! Accumulate the most points and you will win $50 to the official NFL team store of the Chicago Bears!

TL;DR: THE WHOLE GOAL IS TO PREDICT WHICH PLAYERS ARE TAKEN IN THE CORRECT ORDER BY THE CORRECT TEAMS.

Basically if you put in your draft sheet

1. Team A - Player 1
2. Team B - Player 2
3. Team D (from C) - Player 3

...but the third overall pick wasn't traded to D from C, but to D from E, you'll still get the 4 point bonus because you predicted accurately that Team D would trade up to get that pick.

RULES

1. Must be an active member of BearsFansOnline.com's community. One-off accounts created for this contest will not be considered for victory. This is something we've discussed a lot over the years.
2. One submission per member.
3. All submissions are editable through 12pm/Noon CT on Thursday April 27th (day of the draft). I will take screen caps at that time.

SCORING

Picks 1-8 = 1 pt
Picks 9-16 = 2 pts
Picks 17-24 = 3 pts
Picks 25-32 = 4 pts
Predict a correct trade = 4 points

In the event of a tie we will defer to % of pick prediction accuracy of picks 10-20, then picks 21-32 if that doesn't yield a winner.

Enter your predictions! Feel free to ask questions here or via PM.

I'll get mine together soon(ish). The guys I've watched the draft with for the last 20 years have a contest also, but much simpler scoring. We match the prospect to the correct spot for 3, one place off for 2, or two spots off for 1. Tie breaker #1 is how many of position X will go in the 1st round, tiebreaker #2 is total number of correct names in 1st round.

Seeing there is a raw total possible of 80 plus trades, what are the typical scores produced by the group?

Also, didn't NE get their 1st round pick back from NO?

I think the Saints/Pats trade for Butler is in limbo. I've read nothing official about it yet. I'll update the order when it's for certain.

I hate that work has gotten in the way of dicking around with my mock drafts.

What makes this so difficult is there is no clear cut No. 1 overall right now, so it's hard to predict how the dominoes are going to fall. Then again, there was no clear cut No. 1 overall a year ago until trades started happening before the draft.

Would it invalidate my submission if I predict two different teams to select the same player? Obviously, I wouldn't be aiming for perfection because I would have made that impossible, but I would be aiming for the high score.

Hmm...I'm not sure this would be illegal, but it certainly wouldn't be sporting.

I'm going to say no.

Thanks. I asked as a hypothetical, but the answer determines 2 very different algorithms for the new version of my mock draft generating program. I'm incapable of programming a concept of 'sporting,' but I could give it rules that correspond to 'sporting' if necessary.

So you said, "No, it would not invalidate your submission." [Or did you say, "No, you can't do it?"]

For clarity - no, do not repeat players.

Post them here, but only post one! You can edit it as many times as you want before noon CT on the day of the draft.
