With Ego Ferguson placed on waivers, only 6 of Phil Emery's 20 draft picks (2012-14) remain on the #Bears.

With Ego Ferguson waived, here are the players on the roster the Bears drafted prior to 2015:

2nd round pick that did nothing. Typical Bears.

Still 12 Emery acquisitions total on the Bears...far too many.

I'm wondering why now? Did he just pass a physical or something? It's not a player-friendly thing to do releasing a guy in this weird no-mans land of FA.

They had to do something. They were out of numbers in the 90's.

I'm surprised.
Obviously, they weren't big on him and 34 isn't a good fit for him.

But still, with Jenkins and Sutton being really NT only guys, that leaves Bullard as the only backup at E.
I figured they'd keep Ego through the draft at least, as insurance.

More and more, I feel like they're all in on Allen at 3.

Bears resigned CJ Wilson last week.

Wilson is a nice depth signing, approximately on par with Unrein. He's not starter caliber any more than Unrein is, though.

Ego failed his physical with the Packers, so he will remain a free agent.

That's why he reverted to IR after he was waived in camp last season. Must be some chronic issue...yay for high draft picks not working out for the Bears.
