107 days down; 107 days until week 1 of the regular season.
How are we all holding up?
We're officially halfway through the offseason.

Holding up pretty well. Not having a lot of optimism for the upcoming season results in not having the "Football season can't get here fast enough" feeling that has taken over about this time in years and decades past.

doing ok I guess ... my softball team is doing reasonably well ... I've perfected a smoked rib recipe on my grill ... will be having a nice visit with my daughter and her hubby ... and I've been having quality time working with animal rescue, something I encourage everyone to participate in ... I'd like to be a member of the secret hit squad brutalizing the people who abuse animals, but there is no such squad (yet ... )
it would be nice if there was real Bears team news on a regular basis instead of the gibberish and nutjobs, but oh well

Honestly, based on the FA class and outlook on this draft for QBs, I struggle to imagine that things could've gone better for us. I'm fine with Mike Glennon and his contract and think he'll play the best football of his life this year, even if my expectations aren't THAT high. Furthermore, everything we know now about Trubisky and the process of getting him has put me in a vastly more positive place than I expected to be. Does that mean we're going to be good this year? Highly unlikely. But having a good amount of hope to lean on counts for a lot. I'm in bizarrely good spirits considering I think my team will only win 5-6 games this year.
Incidentally, I just got back from Vegas and the Bears were 150-1 odds on wining the Super Bowl. I didn't lay any $$$ down.

Glennon, Sanchez, Shaw, Trubisky.
um .... what kind of drill is that depicted? looks a bit strange ... Sanchez looks like he is ready to mug Glennon to get the football out of his hands

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Overall, preseason's just as interesting as the regular season (sometimes more).

the key for proper grilling of them is indirect heat .... and of course knowing your way around a spice rack before even putting them on the grillMoriarty wrote:Boris13c wrote:doing ok I guess ... my softball team is doing reasonably well ...
