It's awesome and all. But the fact remains that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have owned the Bears for 10 years. Brett Favre for about 15 years before that....that's around 25 years of dominance against a franchise. It's tough to be a homer in those situations for me. During that 25 year span in the regular season, the Bears are 14-36 against the Packers and that doesn't include the painful NFCCG loss - which would put us at 14-37.
The Bears had such a comfortable lead in the all time head-to-head record that it took the Packers 25 years to tie the series at 94-94-6 with the season sweep in 2016. That's how bad it's been against the Packers.
Video bombing Rodgers is great and all - but I would rather bomb his ass on the field and win games against him.

Rodgers is the greatest QB I have ever seen live.
His talent/play I will put ahead of Brady, but I am a notorious Brady hater.

Rogers is physically far more gifted than Brady. Brady's edge comes from competitiveness and the best coach of his era building the team around him.

yeah well, since the Bears have proven incapable of doing that, I'll take what I can get from others ... Sarah Spain seemed to surprise Rodgers and leave him at a loss, creating an amusing scenario ... the Bears simply roll over and allow Rodgers to use and abuse them as he sees fit, which is not amusing at all

Rodgers is a superior QB to Brady from a talent perspective. But with Brady and the Pats...well, you see what a team culture can really do.

It's amazing what pairing the greatest coach of all time (sorry, Papa Bear) and a talent like Tom Brady will do. Scheme continuity dudes... that's the name of the game.

Continuity? Not in the Bears dictionary. Can't see them having continuity in the near future either.G08 wrote:Agreed.Magnum_Ursus wrote:Rogers is physically far more gifted than Brady. Brady's edge comes from competitiveness and the best coach of his era building the team around him.

there are more than just positive takes on continuity ... one definition is :Otis Day wrote:Continuity? Not in the Bears dictionary. "the unbroken and consistent existence or operation of something over a period of time"
that can in fact apply to the Bears ... they have continually sucked and fallen well short of expectations over the last 25 years ... so they have the unbroken and consistent existence of their failure

I still think Pete Carmichael, Jr. is our head coach next season and he will be tied to Trubisky for the near future.
Defensively... I just pray that Fangio will stick around with the promise of having 100% free reign over the defense.
