Markus Wheaton's return to Bears team drills Sunday didn't last long. The speedy receiver, who had been out since July 30 because of an appendectomy, fractured the pinkie on his left hand while trying to catch a pass.

"Hopefully it won't be too big of a setback," coach John Fox said.

Have a feeling it will come down to the last man standing with the receiver depth chart.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

The Miami Dolphins had the no name defense. When the Bears win this Super Bowl this year, it'll be the no name wide receivers who get them there.

I'm continuing with the theory that Bears players are all made of glass

Mark Sanchez has a sprained ankle from last week and he was rested. Hope is to get him to Saturday's game.

Jaye Howard had an injection in his hip and was rested. Howard had hip injury in Kansas City last year.

Roy Robertson-Harris left practice with a concussion.

DE Akiem Hicks sidelined last two days with a sore Achilles' tendon. Fox not overly concerned.

they really need to get better conditioning staff

First Meredith, now Wheaton, with fingers. The Bears should consider using Brady footballs.

Eh. I'm fine with the Bears using a lot of scrub WRs. Somebody's gotta emerge from the pack.
