At least he can run and catch the deep ball. The question is... Will Glennon be upright long enough to throw it?
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

Scouting report says he excels in the scramble drill. He was Josh Allen's guy when things blew up. He'll be Trubisky's boy when he leaves the pocket.

We're going to be in 3rd and long a lot so he might get a lot of desperation throws hoiked his way...

If I had a dollar for every undrafted WR this fan-base has fallen in love with during garbage time pre-season outings over the past 15 years.

I'd... uh... have enough for like a McDonald's big mac meal, or something.

Jokes aside... for every Adam Thielen in the world, there's 100 Brandon Rideau's.

It's funny, the one UDFA no one really cared about that actually did anything was Cam Meredith.

That's a good point. I barely heard his name until he grabbed his first regular season catch, for a pivotal 1st down on the final drive of that upset at Arrowhead in 2015.

Most likely because I don't think he made big plays in the pre-season. Until the Indy game last year, I thought the odds of him becoming a legit NFL WR were next to non-existent. Never did I think I'd see the day where losing him for the season would be cause for major concern.

Hopefully the kid works hard off the field because it's evident he does on the field.

Until you heard me gushing about him 3 TCs ago in my TC report. :)

About the only entertainment Bears fans get is the preseason hyped player of choice.

Look, its well known that he's not a great route runner. At 6'2", Gentry is now our tallest receiver by a couple of inches. Worst case scenario, he's put in on 2nd and short for the deep ball attempts, that is...if Glennon can get it to him. Best case scenario...we catch lightening in a bottle, and Glennon builds a quick chemistry with Gentry.

Per PFF...

Bottom line: Although Gentry has not received a lot of hype to date, he put together a really impressive tape at Wyoming. While he offers very little in gaining yards after the catch, he makes up for that with his large catch radius and athletic ability, which allow him to make circus catches on off-target passes. Gentry has the ability and upside to develop into an NFL starter, but first he will need to gain experience against press coverage and how to beat against man coverage as he has not faced a lot of that over his college career.

Personally, I'm always rooting for the UFA underdog.

He seems to have really good hands. Good catch radius.

Cam is a guy I cheer for. But his rookie season you heard about Bellamy in camp more then Cam. Bellamy couldn't catch the ball, but Can slowly showed he had real talent. Not just a college QB pretending to be a WR. More of a WR who played some QB.

I like Gentry a lot more with Mitch out there than Glennon.. I hope they get the chance to play together at some point.

stoked for the kid, next man up and I was hoping he made the roster anyway. Sticky hands, unlike some!

If he has hands, he has the leg up on 1/2 the WR on the roster.
