Fuck that guy, man... I'm almost willing to bet money he has a "career year" next season and Pace thumps his chest and picks up his 5th year option, only to have Kevin White break something else early in camp.wab wrote:Sorry Kevin.

Pretty sure the date to pick up is really early 2018. So they won't.G08 wrote:Fuck that guy, man... Same thing happened with Kyle Fuller. It'd be nice to have the extra year now, but couldn't pull the trigger back in the spring.

That's crazy that they designated Hall, signed Prosinski, then designated Demps, all in a few days.

Even better, then he'll have a "career year" and get a nice contract extension only to get hurt again.Moriarty wrote:Pretty sure the date to pick up is really early 2018. I'm with you all, Kevin White has to go. I'm also just meh on Demps and Hall returning. Our safety tandem in Amos/Jackson is performing at a high level and IMO, should be the Bears starters from here on out.

You keep him for next year just to see. He's still cheap on rookie deal but I'd in no way extend him. If he gets hurt again (likely) then can cut him in camp

My guess is that they want a sure tackler in the nickle and that will be the role Demps plays. As far as Hall goes, I'd say they aren't happy with Cooper.Funkster wrote:I'm with you all, Kevin White has to go. I'm also just meh on Demps and Hall returning. I think Deiondre’s future is at corner. Cant let that length go to waste.
Yeah, no shit. This dude is S.O.F.TAdipost wrote:I can’t believe that Aaron Rodgers is already throwing passes a few weeks after breaking the collarbone on his throwing shoulder, and Kevin White still can’t get out onto the field after a broken scapula in Week 1.

He's like the Cutler of wide receivers.Funkster wrote:Yeah, no shit. This seems like the easy right answer for White. And who knows? Maybe a miracle will happen and he'll stay healthy for a year and do something. Even if he has a 1000-yard season, I think it's unlikely that he'd get a big FA contract with his injury history.bearsfaninaz wrote:You keep him for next year just to see. Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

They’re going to keep him because his contract is fully guaranteed next year. His option will 100% be declined though. And I can’t envision any scenario where you marry yourself to him long term.Mikefive wrote:This seems like the easy right answer for White. And who knows? Huh? Cutler is many things, but he certainly isn't soft. When he has been injured he's almost always bounced back quicker than expected. White on the other hand...MoFugger wrote:He's like the Cutler of wide receivers.Funkster wrote:Yeah, no shit.
