So generally the consensus is 3-4 years to evaluate a draft. I figure now is as good of a time as any to begin asking if Ryan Pace is doing a good enough job. I have not come up with a direct non bias way to do such a thing yet. So far I only added FA with 3 year contracts, or have been with the team for 3 years. The 2 easiest GRADES to obtain are PFF and Madden (Yes I know it's a video game but it is a grade). I also added games started. I will eventually figure out a formula to grade.

Amos Unrein and Goldman have clearly had the most impact. Acho McPhee To my probably make up that second group. So tell me what you think 3 years after the fact how successful do you think Pace was in his first off season.

To me personally, I don't put much into the first off season of a GM. When Pace was hired, he needed a coach, he needed to bring in his own scouts/personnel and he needed to go through the existing roster with a fine tooth comb because it was junk. I can't imagine he would have the time to properly prepare for the draft as usual considering this. I'd look more into his later drafts and FA signings. To me he's been a mixed bag. His drafts seem to be pretty good (this last one makes or breaks him), but his FA signings haven't been consistent.

Pretty much as a rule of thumb a new GM must use his predecessors scouting report. I think it will take a bit longer to know how his drafts have been.

I liked the McPhee signing even though he's been banged up. Loved Royal but he couldn't stay healthy.

Rolle was dog-shit.

Acho has been serviceable and I think Unrein is a bulldog... very underrated "glue guy"

Kevin White... everyone and their mother on this board knows how much I hated this pick. Still do.

Goldman should be our future at NT

Grasu... had hopes for him but he's just not strong enough in his base

Langford cut

Amos, did the light finally come on for him?

TAY FAB!!! Image

Timu is slow but highly instinctual... not bad for a UDFA

Anderson... meh

Callahan... can't stay healthy but when he has I thought he has played well

Solid B- from me.

He's been playing well when he's gotten snaps.

You'll see more of him and RRH now that Unrein has been put on IR.

Just curious...how can a guy be a bust but still have the "career shows potential" icon?

He's been bad so far, but he's young enough to where there's still talent to hold out hope for.

Bullard seems like he's going to be a player like christian jones, where if fangio can figure out how to dumb down the defense for him to the point where he doesnt have to think, he could be really good.

it's notable that the last two games he's gotten 47 and 42 snaps, both career highs by far.

I don't think he's been as bad as some are making him out to be. He's been a disappointment for sure though. Was really expecting him to take that next step this season. It looked promising in the preseason as he was making a lot of plays. Wouldn't call him a bust yet though.

Collectively it's dogs***.

McPhee can't stay healthy. White is a bust. Grasu stinks. I liked Langford, but he never amounted to much. Gotta give credit on Goldman and Amos.
