See, good things come to those who wait! Now the Bears are set at DC for the next 3 years.

I'm fucking pumped for this staff, I've been watching chiefs offensive film all morning. This is going to be a fun off season filled with anticipation.

Another ‘teacher’ for the offensive side of the ball.

Furrey is a former NFL WR but has no pro coaching experience.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!

In my former life I was known as FencikFanatic.

Oh, and if you were wondering - yes I'm real. And I'm fantastic.

I doubt this is the guy you had in mind when you wrote that in another thread: Sean Desai.

Does anybody know more about this guy than is in his official Bears' bio?

Weird resume for the NFL. PhD. Longest tenured coach on the Bears. Coached offense, defense, and special teams at the college level. Has a side gig as a grad school prof.

Has Nagy hired a QB Coach yet? I heard Pat O'Hara's name being floated around (Texans offensive assistant) but didn't see him officially getting hired.

They floated or the idea of keeping Ragone.

I read that Nagy put put a couple requests. Ragone may be goner but we'll see. Need a TE coach as well.

I'd rather not have any coaches associated with last year's offensive shitshow staying around.

#Bears have hired Kevin Gilbride as TE coach. He spent last 7 seasons with #Giants as TE coach, WR coach and offensive assistant.

Don’t know much about him, but he was WR coach when they developed some good ones, then TE coach this year and Engram improved a ton as the year went on.

Not overly worried about the QB coach since that’s Nagy and Helfrich’s wheelhouse.

I'm not so sure about that. It makes sense to me that someone remains who knows the offensive players better than Pace.

I liked Ragone in college, I was a Ragone over Leftwich guy. So maybe I am biased.

You can't really grade him on much. He got shit canned with Logains in Tennessee. I guess we his don't know.

With Helfrich not calling plays, and the work he did at Oregon as OC/QB Coach, I wouldn't be surprised if he doubles as the QB Coach.

Brock Olivo, who spent three years alongside Matt Nagy on the Chiefs coaching staff, was named the Bears’ assistant special teams coach Friday.

Olivo was the Broncos’ special teams coordinator last year after serving as Dave Toub’s assistant in Kansas City. Toub is a mentor to Chris Tabor, who the Bears named their special teams coordinator last week.

Donovan bounced around the NFL. He spent most of his time with the Rams. Had a couple stops in Tampa Bay. Was with the Bears for a cup of coffee in 2009. Spent time with the Steelers, Seahawks, and Redskins.

Not a very distinguished career, but not all bad.

Its usually those guys that have to work extra hard to try and prolong their careers, that end up being good X's & O's and technicians that make the best coaches.

He was a grad assistant at UND working under Heistand, so the hire makes sense.

So Nagy's bringing his mentor on board to help out:

Per @caplannfl, the Bears will hire Brad Childress as an offensive consultant. The Aurora native (Marmion Academy and EIU grad) and former Vikings head coach has been with Nagy in KC since 2013.

@caplannfl

Nagy is also expected to hire a former teammate at Delaware, Brian Ginn, as an offensive assistant. Ginn coached QBs, WRs and TEs at Delaware over 17 seasons. Also was passing game coordinator, OC during his time there.
