Sources tell NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport that Amerson will visit the Bears on Wednesday and that other free agent visits are scheduled for a player who is already picking up major interest on the market.

Hmmm. This doesn't feel great. I don't like anything that pushes Fuller closer to the exit.

I think this would be to replace Amukamara.

The Lesfranc foot injury worries me greatly. That shit plagued Miller's career.

He must have been healthy enough to pass a physical, that's the only way Oak isn't paying him $5.5M this year. Definitely worth a look.

I have this weird suspicion that Fangio/Donatell love them some Amukamara for some reason. It's not founded on anything actually based in fact though.

Maybe I'm gun shy because when the Bears actually have had someone worth keeping (like Fuller) the last few years, they don't.

"Right before halftime, they were shooting up my shoulder and I told the trainers, 'Yo, something's wrong with my foot,'" Amerson recalled. "It felt like a burning sensation and it felt weak."

Amerson would not take the field again.

And while he said he was not diagnosed with a Lisfranc fracture, nor could he recall a specific play in which the foot was injured, Amerson said he did have ligament damage.

So it's not a Lisfranc fracture, but it's not not potentially one, give or take an awkward plant or three.

They used him a shit-ton in press.

Is keeping Prince a bad idea? I liked him.

I think Fuller is the harder call honestly. I just worry about paying someone with his history too much after a contract year. I know there's this thing with him and Fangio, so maybe he really turned the corner but I'm skeptical.

All that said, they should keep them both but that doesn't mean the Bears shouldn't entertain options in case one of them wants the farm.

Well you wouldn't want him to be your only option. The injury history and up and down play. He is an interesting option though.

This makes sense. Cutting Cooper save the Bears 8 million. If Amerson is a depth move, fine. I was impressed with Prince and Fuller, both had good seasons. Fuller and Butler gets me giddy! Getting rid of Cooper would be fine by me, dude was fools gold.

If we don't cut Cooper surely Chicago does all the bad bits from the Eagles celebration?

I say you sign both Amukamara and Fuller and you cut Cooper. It'll cost you but it's worth it. Cooper's dead cap space i$1M. Amukamara might be three year deal at $20M with $8M guaranteed and a year 1 cap it of $6M? And I could see Fuller looking for something like 5/$55M/$25M.

Also, we need to resign Bryce Callahan who's an RFA and really coming on in the slot.

I'd like to see the full secondary back together next season. They're relatively young, improving and in synch with each other and the coaches.

I've heard that those never actually heal. You just have to manage it.

Who would pick up the slack in getting all those INTs Amukamara produced?
