Good phase II FA signing. I like Lynch.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!

In my former life I was known as FencikFanatic.

Oh, and if you were wondering - yes I'm real. And I'm fantastic.

5th round pick when Fangio was in SF.

25 years old.

Listed at 6’6, 270 lb

6 and 6.5 sacks his first two years

Only 1.5 and 1 the last two (in 7 games each season)

Don’t know a ton about him. I saw a 49ers fan on Twitter saying he got out of shape and lost playing time.

If the Bears can keep him healthy and in shape, he should be a really good rotational player. Good veteran depth.

Most likely training camp fodder, with the underlying narrative of, 'This is your last chance' type of signing.

Veteran depth? The dude is 25 years old. He's a bust looking for a last chance.

I like the food both places, but unfortunately, I think it's easier to be fat in Chicago.

Apparently he’s fat and lazy. If he somehow grows up this year and gets in shape, he could be a force at OLB.

Well, I'm cool with it.

Maybe Fangio gets him going in right direction. If not? Who cares.

I guess 1 year, 6 million. Seems a bit rich, even on a one year deal...

Saw this one coming as well... heard he got up to 300 lbs this past off-season and then had to cut down to 270. Was a 3-4 OLB with Fangio and played well IMO, they moved him to 4-3 DE last year.

Solid player when his mind is right and he's motivated... I'm hoping the dudes in the locker room slap him around a bit if he starts acting up.

Sounds like right now Floyd and Acho are your base OLBs and Lynch is depth / in for pass rush.

Yes. A 5th year player. As in ‘a veteran’.

Good guy off the bench.

God damn it Pace, you're so very, very bad at this.

I think people are being too hard. This is Phase 2 and there are no good Edge rushers in free agency. I'm sure the prospects aside from this guy are even worse for Edge rusher right now.

For what is out there, a one-year prove-it deal is fine by me. They likely will get an edge rusher to start from the draft anyway

Trumaine Edmunds... Your table is waiting.

Why?? He hasn't proven ANYTHING yet. He has the physical tools. What makes you think he is going to make the leap with the Bears?

He was like 235 in college so I don’t think weight really should be an issue for him.
