It's all over Twitter that's he's deleted all Bears related stuff off his Instagram. I really hope they aren't trading him

Bears aren’t going to get dick for him in a trade - seems like a bad idea if that’s what they really are planning to do.
But, what the fuck do I know?*

He's not the ideal RB for this offense, he limits what you can do schematically without tipping your hand. This doesn't mean he's a bad player by any means, he just doesn't fit what I believe Nagy wants to do in this offense.
Still, I hope this is much ado about nothing.

Damn. I really like Howard, but I agree he isn't the ideal back for this new system. I hope we at least get a 3rd for him.

Noooooo
Gurley is definitely a receiving threat.cblaz11 wrote:Did Blount fit New England's offense? Or Phillys? Gurley isn't a receiving threat in LA...I dunno, this reminds me of Thomas Jones/Ced Benson all over again.
Blount was apart of a three-way committee. Different story.
I'm not crazy about this, but I'd have to see the compensation.

Gurley was 2nd on the Rams last season in targets, 1st in receptions, 2nd in yards and 2nd in TD receptions.cblaz11 wrote:Did Blount fit New England's offense? Or Phillys? Gurley isn't a receiving threat in LA...I dunno, this reminds me of Thomas Jones/Ced Benson all over again.

I don't think any of this necessarily means that he's gone... but man, I could see his agent telling him that the Bears are shopping him and he's pissed off about it.
Or maybe it's all nothing.

IncarceratedBob is full of shit. He’s a guy who tweets both sides and then goes back and deletes tweets when it doesn’t happen or when he’s wrong.
He has as many sources as I do - which is to say he has none.

If the Bears are packaging Howard to move up to #2...sigh. I don’t know.

I guess that I just don't see why else Howard would delete his Bears social media stuff? That's what keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Ugh...... I really like Howard. A LOT.
The only way I see trading him is if they are moving up for "some" RB in the draft. As much as I like him, I could deal with it if there was something nice coming back with it. Maybe a move up Bears 1st and Howard for somebody's 1st and 2nd...
Or it could be one of Pace's smoke screens forcing some action making teams move up to grab that RB. Or some weird shit like that......
"hey Jordan, get in here"
"Yes sir"
P-"your a team player right?"
J- "anything for the team sir"
P- "how about you delete your pics on that social media and confuse the shit out of this thing"
J-" Whatever you need me to do, I'm here to help in any way"
P-"Great Jordan, hell this is going to be fun. They will have no clue where we are going with this, people are gonna freak out! Hahaha"

Yeah, I don’t even have a twitter account so I’m far from an expert, but I’m pretty sure he’s a well known fraud.Hiphopopotamos wrote:IncarceratedBob is full of shit. He’s a guy who tweets both sides and then goes back and deletes tweets when it doesn’t happen or when he’s wrong.

That's the only thing I can think of. It's got to be a trade up. I can't imagine that Howard would net much in return for a direct trade. But if he's worth a 3rd round pick, then that could elevate you a few spots in the first round.wab wrote:If the Bears are packaging Howard to move up to #2...sigh. I don’t know.

I'm not buying the Howard trade talk. There's no serious backup plan to replace him other than to trade up for Barkley and I just don't see one of the QB hungry teams that high up in the first trading down to #8 and missing out.
If they're trading Howard and the first round pick for OBJ what did they get AR15 for? That would be ridiculous. OBJ also wants a shit ton of money in FA. Welcome to cap hell.
I'm not against trading Howard, but unless it is for Barkley somehow involving the #8 I'm not interested.

No one player is bigger than the team, there will be a day when Howard isn't wearing a Bears uniform, that's all known.
The thing I would hate about him getting traded right now is the Mike Martz thing. I just can't get around it. A good coach makes use of players abilities. A good coach, hell a not so good coach, can have a successful running game with Howard. Now you are going to tell me we need to dump him because he doesn't fit THIS good coaches scheme? I don't by that bs.
Maybe it is a smoke screen. Maybe it's not Nagy at all. Maybe they know something we don't. blah blah blah.... I just know the optics of this (if it's true) are really bad, like REALLY bad.
Unless this really is the Bears taking advantage of someone else's "need" to dump a good player (some package deal for Gronk?!?! LOL) then it's a bad idea.
