Low on the drama, high on the fun.

Smith is a genius.

Adopted a guy after he was done with college, got to avoid the sleepless nights while "son" was growing up, and gets to celebrate his success as a new NFL player. Then add in that if his son does something stupid as shit, then he can say "I wasn't the one who raised you like that."

He practically got to just be the grandpa.
