Schefter, Mort, and others are putting it out there - Fox is negotiating a contract, but the agreement to become coach is done.
He's here, folks. Let's boogie.

It feels good to be a real life grown-up NFL team again.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!
In my former life I was known as FencikFanatic.
Oh, and if you were wondering - yes I'm real. And I'm fantastic.

Just sign the dotted line already!
Kyle Shanahan as your OC
Jim Schwartz / Dennis Allen as your DC
And for God's sake, who is your ST coach?? Was the Denver ST coach fired as well? Is he any good?
EDIT: Apparently FO had him ranked worse than DeCamillis. Is that even possible?

The entire coaching staff was told they were free to look for other jobs.
Jeff Rodgers is the ST coach for Denver. He was the ST coach in Carolina for one year with Fox as well.

It's on NFL Network right now. Rapoport going over potential coordinators. No new names. Saying Del Rio is the problem since he has a jump on the potential assistants and they are both likely after the same guys.

I don't think Del Rio is after Shanahan or Dennis Allen. Likely position coaches will be the issue.

Charlie Casserly on now, talking fox - does a good job of team building, players like playing for him, will hire good assistants, wants a strong running game will bring a change of emphasis on O, he's a guy who gets involved on D side. Hes a guy that will adapt to the players around him, cited Manning, Tebow, Delhomme and how all 3 different styles. He will likely develop a play action game and take the ball out of Cutlers hands.
Looks like a few more insiders going to be on to talk Fox/Bears on Nfl Network.

Judy Battista talking now, basically Fox sounds like the anti trestman. He should bring credibility, discipline and leadership to the locker room. She mentioned the team splitting last year and said Fox should come right in and fix all of that. Talked some about how respected Fox is around the league and that should translate to the team.
From everything they have been saying he sounds like an actual head coach. He hires legit assistants then lets them do the job they were hired for. Sounds like he will bring structure to the team. It sounds like jsut what we need.

Patrick Finley - Fox will come in and look these veterans in the face and tell them what is expected of them. Doesn't think the TV shows and restaurant openings fly under Fox. Asked where a championship under Fox starts and responded on D. Fox fits the franchises history, but the talent isn't quiet there yet on D.
Nothing else really new just rehashing stuff others have said. Talked a bit about Cutler and said basically what Casserly said, Fox will most likely run the ball and play action. I'm hoping that they leak some info on staff soon. I really want little shanny as OC.

Fox will make us competitive next year. If we stay healthy and bring the defense up to the middle of the rankings, we should win 8 or 9 games.
I really think Detriot is going to come crashing back to earth. Their corners are terrible, and without Suh, their ends are going to suck.

it's looking pretty likely that teryl austin is staying put (unless the falcons go WILDCARD)... if they lose suh and fairly it's be interesting to see how he adapts what they do. i'd think if he can keep that defense together with the loss of the middle of the line he'll be right back interviewing next year.wab wrote: I really think Detriot is going to come crashing back to earth.
