$120 mill. great during season but has been beat on in post season.. Hopefully he comes on strong like Arrieta did when he came to Cubs..

I like the Darvish signing. I think he might have more upside than Arrieta. I hope Darvish brings his best to Chicago!

Wonder if the Cubs were having trouble signing Jake and they figured they’d just get Darvish?

I personally don’t see Arrieta ever coming close to his 2015 season numbers again.

Darvish now and the next 5 seasons is definitely greater than Arrieta, with all do respect to what Jake has done. Darvish has the highest k per 9 innings to all time.

I still don't like 6 year deals for 31 year old players, but it's better than a 10 year deal and just a reality of MLB.

I'm fine with the deal, but I don't know how much difference it'll make. The bullpen is seemingly improved as well, but the devil will be in the details. This team needs to find a stride and avoid major injuries to capitalize on what is yet another "win now" lineup.
