Former Boston Red Sox slugger Don Baylor died Monday morning. He was 68 years old. Baylor, according to the Austin American-Statesman, succumbed to a battle with multiple myeloma. The Texas native played 19 seasons in the big leagues and was one of the game’s best power hitters at his peak with the California Angels. Baylor hit a career-high 36 home runs to go along with 139 RBIs in 1979 on his way to winning the American League MVP award.
