ROOKIE / FA DRAFT
This is the thread for official draft picks once the draft starts. Please pick during your specific time or before if it has reached your pick. If you do not think you will be able to make a pick, please submit a list to me via PM or email and I will do our best to make the pick based on that list during your specific time. Do not edit any posts in this thread, and no changing picks once they have been made. You may pick any rookie or free agent (players not kept) with any of the picks. The list of free agents should just be players available on the player’s page on ESPN.
*Note: If the person before you has picked then you can make your pick even if it has not reached your time slot yet. It is possible that the draft could be ahead of the actual schedule. If a player misses their pick (end time for the pick has passed) then the manager after can pick in their time slot. The manager that missed their pick can still make a pick at any time until the end of the draft of any of the players still not picked, but cannot pick a player picked legally after the missed pick because of the missed pick.
*ALL TIMES ARE CHICAGO TIME (CST)*

Sorry I've been busy at work and confused weeks and thought today was the 13th. I started notifying people's of their picks. We can start it in a week. If the first two want to change their picks they can. I really apologize.

The Great Sept Embers can pick now, if that's the consensus.

You can, I just figured the first set of preseason games could change things, especially if there are injuries.
We usually get a jump start on it on like Friday or Saturday before, I just was a week early. I'm not going to pick until at least after the Friday games (since the likely top 5 guys to be picked will have all been through one preseason game by then)

I'm ok with starting early, however only unless everyone else is up for it. It wouldn't be fair otherwise in case of injury ect. If the first 5 guys pick and we have to wait a week for the next guy.... what happens if one of the top 5 guys get hurt while we are waiting...

eh, live a little on the edge...pick early...this IS a dynasty after all and not just this year...BBF wrote:You can, I just figured the first set of preseason games could change things, especially if there are injuries.

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!
Yeah, that's why I'm just going to hold off on my pick until after the Friday games (when everyone in the top 5 except Davis who won't play this week has played), so if someone that picked ahead of me gets injured they can change their pick, since it was my bad.46Blitz wrote:I'm ok with starting early, however only unless everyone else is up for it. I mean I'll let you re pick if your guy gets hurt before I pick FridayPSUmtj112 wrote:I agree with this. I am fine going now if everyone else does, heck i'm excited, but I do not want to be at a disadvantage if someone gets hurt.46Blitz wrote:In other words, all or none...

My two cents is people can always pick before their time slot if they WANT to. So we could do the whole first round before official start if everyone wanted to pick, but no one HAS to pick before their allotted time.

I'm good to go anytime...now or later, doesn't matter to me.
The three taken so far have played (or won't play in Davis' case but that was known beforehand) and the managers are good with their picks. So we'll start up again.
The Shufflin' Crew selects: Dalvin Cook, RB Minnesota
The Pigskin Playas are up.

I'm an analyst by trade. A database guy, a spreadsheet guy. A stats guy. And after doing a ton of research on my team and the draft class, I've reached one airtight conclusion:
I'm the idiot who chose Tajae Sharpe at 1.16 last year.
So. Without overthinking this one or going for a player with any sort of flash or intriguing pedigree whatsoever, the VMBKs select
Kareem Hunt, RB, KC
Let's hope he pans out as well as the last KC third-rounder I took because all of my top-tier guys were taken.

So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

Also, what's wrong with hoping that a slow, altogether phlegmatic RB from a small midwestern school will be as good as Jamaal Ch- Oh. I see. Gotcha.

All part of the evil that is within me.
Later on, you'll get inundated with whatever the future incarnations of iCarly, Drake and Josh, VICTORiOUS, and The Suite Life are. But for now, cartoons.
