Sheesh, lots of talented players still on the board. But I've been so high on this guy for so long that it'd be hypocritical not to take him.

Thanks. Hope you're right. I might have taken him in the 2nd if I had a pick there- feel fortunate that he lasted to #44.

So with only one pick you go through many thoughts about who you should pick and why.

On one hand I was going to write about having a new baby, being sleep deprived, and then finding out you've been drafted by Seattle and have to pick yourself. But i am not as eloquent nor have the recondite flavor like Karhu does to do that justice.

On another hand I thought about emergency depth at a spot where I was thin, but that's not sexy.

On yet another hand I thought about the guy I would've taken in the 2nd, but hasn't had much of a chance to play this preseason. That seems like the best value at this point so...
