the Raiders playoff dreams took a hit to the nuts with Derek Carr's broken leg against the Colts

Jack Del Rio has expressed public confidence that their next man up, Matt McGloin, is going to be prepared and ready ... but will he be? his NFL resume is pretty sparse, and the few times I've seen him play he seemed uncomfortable in the pocket

this is one of those moments a player gets that can define, or potentially end, his career ... having to step in for a successful starter on a playoff bound team and keep things rolling ... if McGloin is up to the task, he becomes an instant hero to Raider Nation ... if he isn't, he becomes a footnote to the beginning of Connor Cook's NFL career

lots of pressure and will be performing before a national audience ... should be interesting to watch
