@AdamSchefter
San Francisco is expected to make sweeping changes, dismissing both HC Chip Kelly and GM Trent Baalke, league sources tell ESPN.

Firing three head coaches in three years. Now there's a job people are going to be lining up to apply for.

We're not that far away. Lovie Trestman Fox all within 4 years. Well coaching changes Fox hasn't been fired yet

That's a stretch, especially since fox getting fired is a fever dream and not actually happening.

The only way Fox leaves after this season is if he "retires".

I'm just comparing what we've done over last 4 years. We've been awfully similar.

No we're not.

Baalke fired his first HC hire, a guy who'd also been there for four years, then his promoted stand-in, and now the presumed long-term HC hire is gone along with Baalke himself.

Emery kept a guy who'd already been here twice as long as Harbaugh'd been in SF and who'd been more successful. Fired him the next year and replaced him with a studiously if stupidly chosen new guy who lasted two years. Then both were canned in favor of a team that for all the world looks like it's entered its third preseason together.

Those arcs are barely similar.
So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

Friendship is better than fighting, but fighting is more useful.

49ers and Rams have already inquired about Josh McDaniels.

Looking like the 49ers are wanting to go with Shanahan....because McDaniels pretty much withdrew himself...

with the way the falcons offense is humming along, the longer kyle sticks it out there the better a job he can line up in the future. you only get all that hot coaching hire buzz once in your life and i'll be pretty surprised if he wastes it taking the 49ers gig.

49ers are going to hire some tom cable-esque motherfucker and jim tomsula will continue to be the best 49ers coach post-harbaugh.

The Niners are impatient. If the Falcons make it to the Super Bowl, they'll move on and make a shitty hire.

Accurate

Niners have been a shit organization since the York's pushed DeBartolo out... they got lucky with Harbaugh and obviously didn't realize exactly what they had, they deserve to suffer long and hard....

Plan A is Shanahan. If he doesn't want the job they'll go with Tom Cable.

it's actually kind of impressive that in such a short time he turned the 49ers into the worst gig in the nfl. jed needs to give himself a raise.

Harbaugh had that team within a ball hair of a super bowl trophy and they were only going to get better. Then...dumpster fire.

So he doesn't like the move from SD to LA, but he wants to force a trade to the team that's already in LA?

Several people have already come out and debunked that report. Much ado about nothing.
