49'ers - Open
- McDaniels withdrew and they may not want to wait for Lil Shanny. They'll probably dick themselves into another terrible hire.

Buffalo Bills - Sean McDermott (Panthers DC)
- McDermott has been a hot name for a while now, but has had to answer a lot of questions about his quiet personality and ability to be a leader. The shift to the 4-3 should benefit the Bills current defensive roster.

Jacksonville Jaguars - Doug Marrone (Jags Asst HC)
- Marrone bailed on the Bills and picked up kind of an undue bad reputation for it. He's a hell of a good coach and should be able to get the Jags on the right track.

Denver Broncos - Vance Joseph (Dolphins DC)
- Interesting hire. Only one season as a DC, and it wasn't really a great one. He inherits a championship level team...so they will know what they have in Joseph right away. Do they switch back to a 4-3? Wade Phillips relys on very specific players in his 3-4, so it would appear that they don't seem to have the guys on the roster to make that transition.

LA Rams - Sean McVay (Skins OC)
- An offensive play calling prodigy, McVay is the youngest head coach in NFL history at only 30. Although a lot of people believe this was a grand slam, there will be some growing pains, and Jared Goff could kill his career.

LA Chargers - Anthony Lynn (Bills OC)
- I actually like this hire. He reminds me of the offensive version of Mike Tomlin. But he's taking over a team that lacks talent all across the roster.

If I'm a 49ers fan, I'm bailing. This franchise is going into the shitter so quickly they can't keep up. They'll make a 30 for 30 on it soon about their fall from grace was so utter and all-encompassing thanks to remarkably toxic ownership.

Tom Cable declined the 49ers interview but thanked them for their interest

Shanahan will benefit from that situation, significantly. He’s expected to be the highest-paid first time head coach in league history, and he’s expected to have final say over the roster and the draft. Next, he’ll be directly involved in the General Manager, which makes Shanahan the clear-cut captain of the S.S. 49er.

oh man, this never works out.

agreed ... other more experienced people went this route, failed, and admitted afterwards they should have recognized GM and Head Coach are 2 separate full time jobs ... yes, the people in those positions need to work together, but each has a different role
