bandwagon fans - Falcons winning in gear sales

living where I do in a transient metro area, I meet and see fans of all NFL teams so it is not unusual to see a wide array of various team colors

ah, but then the Super Bowl rolls around, and then there is a mass increase in the amount of gear you see of the 2 teams in the Super Bowl ... and after the Super Bowl, there is a mass increase of amount of folks wearing the attire of the Super Bowl winner

based on what I've been seeing during my recent commuting days, the Falcons seem to be the winner in the new gear area ... the amount of Patriots fans is the usual amount seen regularly

I wonder if there is some form of social disability that leads to this? people feeling they have to do something to belong to a current popular group perhaps?

was wondering if those of you living in other areas see this same level of increase? I don't ever remember seeing it to such a degree when I was living in Chicago ... we sorry Bears fans wore our Bears stuff, win lose or draw

I'm guessing e-Bay might be busy post Super Bowl to get some cheap attire of the Super Bowl loser

I think it's really less bandwagon and more anti-Patriot. I noticed it more when I moved to a larger metro area, but people go to SB parties and buy the gear of the team they want to win, weather they are fans or not. Went to one here last year that was hosted by a die hard cowboys fan...and he was decked out head to toe in Broncos gear.

Can't see myself spending $$ on any team other than the ones I root for.

maybe a Maple Leaf jersey, I think they are pretty kick ass.
