Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes the victim of reported aggravated robbery in Texas
Patrick Mahomes II, the Chiefs' first-round pick at No. 10 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, was reportedly robbed in his hometown of Tyler, Texas, on Friday night.

According to a press release from the Smith County Sheriff's Office, Mahomes was one of four victims robbed in a driveway. Per the Tyler Telegraph:

Deputies were dispatched to the 8800 block of Mansion Creek Circle where four people reported being robbed by someone they believed was armed with a handgun.

The victims were in the driveway when a vehicle pulled in behind them, a man approached them, demanded property and gestured as if he was carrying a handgun in his waistband.


After the robbery, the suspect fled.

The sheriff's office said deputies were able to locate the vehicle.

According to KLTV, the local ABC affiliate, deputies arrested two males in the vehicle: Michael Blake Pinkerton, 34, and Billy Ray Johnson, 58, and booked both into the Smith County Jail.

According to Smith County judicial records, Johnson was arrested for tampering and fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and two counts of possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $6,000 bond.
