Playing Rule Article 8: It is a foul if a player lowers his head to initiate and make contact with his helmet against an opponent. The player may be disqualified. Applies to any player anywhere on the field. The player may be disqualified.

Uggghhh, this is going to cause so many problems. Everytime a safety lowers a shoulder and grazes someone with his helmet it's going to be a potential call.

This is about leading with the crown of the helmet. Not about lowering your shoulder, head up. If the red can see your face mask, it shouldn’t be a foul.

NFL owners passed a rule to eliminate the requirement that teams kick an extra point or go for two after a score at the end of regulation. There is no reason now to clear the field and pull players out of the locker room for a meaningless kneel-down.

Always thought that rule was kind of ignorant.
