Well, I wouldn't put much credence in that. That was just a dumb pick.

lol. i think if anyone is having trouble selling themselves on mitch, a good place to start might be "we could have spent the third rounder we lost on our qb of the future, brad kaaya."

“We’ve got the next Tom Brady right over here, the quarterback, he’s going to be the next Tom Brady,” Trump said via The Gazette.

“The next Tom Brady, come on. And I know Tom, and he’s a great guy, I want to tell you.”

Niners Nation points out that Trump also felt that Johnny Manziel would be “really good” in the NFL.

There's always free agency 4 years from now. :)

Detroit took him at the end of the 6th. Minnesota had the first two picks of the 7th. Coincidence?? There's gona be some QBs bouncing around the NFC North. I mean, last year Detroit resigned Jake Rudock to keep him away from Chicago. Would Detroit keep three QBs active to spite the other teams?

Let's hope they feel the need to spitefully keep Kaaya on their team for his career...

Lions just cut this dork.

(I wouldn't hate him on the practice squad)

The Bears should cut Glennon/Sanchez, and sign Kaaya as Trubisky's back up. He's looked good in the preseason.

If he looked good in preseason, he wouldn't have been cut.

I'd kick the tires on him on the practice squad, but my goodness was it clear his traits wouldn't transfer to the NFL.

Hey, you never know. Work on speed drills, improve his footwork and throwing motion, might get a decent #2 for cheap.

Longshot, though for sure.

Brad Kaaya is rejoining the Lions for a third time
ALLEN PARK -- Brad Kaaya isn't even to the halfway point of his rookie year, and he's already agreed to a fourth NFL contract.

This time, the former Miami quarterback is signing with Detroit's practice squad according to NFL Network.

Kaaya was originally selected by the Lions in the sixth round of the draft, but was cut coming out of training camp. And that set off a peripatetic couple months that included getting claimed by the Panthers on Sept. 3, cut by the Panthers on Oct. 17, claimed by the Lions on Oct. 18, then cut again by the Lions on Oct. 23. That cleared room for the return of suspended defensive tackle Khyri Thornton.

But it has been clear from the start that GM Bob Quinn is interested in developing Kaaya, and now he'll get a chance to do it where he wanted all along -- on the practice squad.
