I think he still goes somewhere between 20-40. Similar to what happened to Jack last year.
If he's there at 35, you're goddamn right I'm taking him.
Take Hooker off your list

9 PLAYOFF APPEARANCES IN THE PAST 35 SEASONS
Damn, Hooker is going to be special:
Matt Miller @nfldraftscout 14 Min.Vor 14 Minuten
Malik Hooker had surgery Tuesday on a torn labrum and a hernia that he played through late this season. He will miss the Combine.
Matt Miller @nfldraftscout 14 Min.Vor 14 Minuten
Pretty impressive Hooker played through those injuries against Michigan and Clemson and still looked like a top 10 player.

I imagine he'll still go to the combine and get measured/weighed and interview. He just wont work out.Adipost wrote:Damn, Hooker is going to be special:

Hooker's one of those guys who now will still probably go in the late first to a team that has depth but can take a chance on letting him heal. Kind of like Willis McGahee in the 00's when the Bills took a flier on him after he tore his knee up.

I'm good with taking an injured player at 35. I'm not good using three picks to trade up for an injured player.G08 wrote:Burning our 2nd and both our 4ths can move us up to 25...wab wrote:Sooooo, he'll basically go to the Pats.

in case anyone wants the linked story :
Malik Hooker having surgeries, won’t participate in Scouting Combine
Malik Hooker having surgeries, won’t participate in Scouting Combine
certainly sucks for him from an initial financial standpoint ... but if he recovers from the surgery as expected and gets healthy, he will be a key contributor to whoever took a flyer on himOne of the top prospects in this year’s class won’t be participating in the Scouting Combine, creating some big questions at the top of the 2017 NFL Draft.
According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, Ohio State safety Malik Hooker had surgeries (plural) to repair a torn labrum and a hernia Tuesday, and won’t be ready to work out for scouts in early March.
Hooker played through the injuries last year, and had a standout season for the Buckeyes. He’s likely still a Top 10 pick, though this will complicate the process for teams during the medical portion of the evaluation.

So the question is: what's the market look like for the healthy version of a player who looked like a top-10 guy when he was injured?

He'd be so perfect for us, Christ I hope we find a way to make this work.
Now how do we trade down and get him and Mahomes without using the first we get...

Career starter FSs are much harder to find than career starter HBs in 2017, so I don't think the example is diminished any.

I've been on board with trading down from the jump. Plus, with Jonathan Allen more valuable to us now, teams could be more willing to trade up.

What the hell have you guys been smoking? If he's reportedly the next Ed Reed, a minor injury that would only keep him out a couple months is fucking nothing. No way he falls to the 2nd round. He's a top 10 pick and is completely at play at 3.
