So the QB threads seem to be the only thing rolling now. However maybe we should talk other prospects. Plus RB are easier to arm chair scout.

This is a really good overall class. The Bears havehad interviews with 2 backs. I believe for 2 reasons a RB will be drafted. First while they have Howard, Langford didn't progress as hoped, and Carey's health is a big question mark. Second in strong positional groups is always smart to take a player because they get under valued.

Kareem Hunt Toledo
-quick not fast, plus vision agility, balance, good hands, physical

Kareem Hunt Highlights

Jamaal Williams BYU
- similar positives as Hunt different type of runner

Jamaal Williams Highlights

Jeremy Mcnicols Boise St
-faster then above, less physical more wiggle, great hands.

Jeremy Mcnicols Highlights

If your v looking for a speed back

Donald Pumphrey
-He is a midget that can fly

Brian Hill is pretty good too.

Brian Hill

Alvin Kamara Tennessee RB

This kid will go higher then the Bears will pick a RB, but he is darn good. He actually would be a great fit in the Packers organization. I really hope they don't take him because that would be a great compliment to that offense.

Alvin Kamara

Joe Williams
- might be insane, but good

https://youtu.be/3Y8WyD-nmWY

Samaje Perine Oklahoma
- Bigger dude with awesome body control

https://youtu.be/0-hxd55alKE

Corey Clement Wisconsin
- As a Badger fan he never really lived up. Talent but injury/expectations never lived up.

I'd like Chicago to try and find a poor man's Dalvin Cook, DC Lite if you will, a speedy smaller back that can catch like a WR. Someone that can be split out wide or in the slot. I think he goes by Alvin Kamara.

I think that's what Langford was supposed to be, but he's bad. And while I like Kamara a lot, but I don't want the Bears to spend a second round pick on a RB.

I'd prefer them to find a guy like that in the UDFA market or in FA. Someone like Andre Ellington in FA or even Tarean Folston after the draft.

I figured it would be a pipe dream, but man Kamara made some really nice places this season. I think I'd be okay with Ellington, I think he can be dangerous as long as he can stay healthy.

Here's a BETTER version of Dalvin Cook for half the price.

for realz though, i would be super bummed if we spent a draft pick on a rb and replaced carey instead of langford. i <3 carey, he's one of my current favorite players.

From time to time you can find a decent back in the 5th round too :D

Are there any that can return kicks?

Curtis Samuel...but he's more WR than RB even though he played both.

Sold! I think I took him in the 3rd on that crappy mock simulator that doesn't seem at all realistic to me.

I'm sour on Langford, but I think any Bear HB sooner than R5 (unless Mixon falls to an idiotic degree) would be nuts.

Too many other needs and too many better values up to that point.
Plus, HB is looking good at the top and bottom, but soft in the middle to me, anyway.

I like McGuire, Dayes, Logan, Ogunbowale, and Henderson as late considerations who could possibly win backup jobs in 2017.

I had hope for Langford but he goes down way too easy (phrasing) and really has poor vision from what I'm seeing. That's a big no-no in this zone system.

Let me introduce T.J. Logan from North Carolina. Freshman starter then moved to #2 when Hood showed up. I'm updating my mock tomorrow and putting him in the 5th round. 5'11" 190lbs. Check it.

169lbs tho... to play at that weight you have to be Darren Sproles special, I'm not sure Pumphrey is on that level.

With the exception of Sproles small backs seldom make it in the pros.

First round is more or less out of the question, but let's say the Bears trade back and aquire an ADDITIONAL second rounder. Would you be more open to a Kamara or a Mixon if they're there?(No can of worms here, just a question.)

Yeah, I can't see the Bears coming out of this draft with any RB's. No matter who they are.
