I will assume Garrett is gone

1. Malik Hooker - I'm tired of the Bears getting beat deep toward the end of close games.
2. Jonathan Allen
3. Jamal Adams

No need to assume anybody's gone in this exercise. And even if you do, then you only need to list 2 names. The idea is that you're indicating your GM draft board that indicates what you'll do. Jamal Adams is irrelevant on your list, since you are not looking to trade down and you'd take one of Garrett, Hooker or Allen.

Please don't think I'm picking on you. That's not my intent. Just pointing out the goal of the exercise. :)

1) Deshaun Watson - I am convinced he will be the best of this QB draft and that the team that takes him will be fortunate and thankful ... I wanted that team to be the Bears, but seriously doubt that has any chance of happening

2) Jamal Adams - I see him as the next Ed Reed and actually being able to dictate the opponents gameplan

3) Solomon Thomas - a faster Richard Dent IMO ... which makes him a high end prospect indeed

I don't mind. I wavering on my picks anyway. I am getting cold feet with Allen and the shoulder thing. Since I'm not on the clock yet I'm revising.

1. Myles Garrett
2. Malik Hooker
3. O. J. Howard -- my out of the box pick

Final results...

72% would've sat tight at 3.
28% would've taken a reasonable trade down if offered.
0% would've traded up.

Assuming trading down wasn't a reasonable option...
28% would've chosen Deshaun Watson
22% would've chosen Jamal Adams
17% would've chosen Patrick Mahomes II
11% would've chosen Malik Hooker
11% would've chosen Jonathan Allen
6% would've chosen Marshon Lattimore
6% would've chosen Solomon Thomas

0% listed Mitchell Trubisky on their board at all.

I think somewhere in the middle

we may not be as smart as we think we are, but we aren't as dumb as Pace

so the Mitchy-Ryan 2 headed monster now needs to prove me wrong ... I sincerely hope they are up to that challenge because I would be much happier typing an apology and a statement of being wrong than seeing the 2019 season start with a new coach, new GM and search for a franchise QB

Pace is employed by an NFL team. We aren't. I think he's not dumb.

yeah well, many a dunderhead has been employed by the NFL and NFL teams ... I can tick off several Bears related ones without even looking it up

I had thought Pace was a step up ... I now feel bamboozled

It's a trick bag. Sure, Ryan Pace types have more experience than we do. But are we as fans just supposed to just bow down to everything they say and do and go "we're not worthy"? That's not going to work out well. Those guys make mistakes and we all have opinions. That's just the way it is.

Interesting...

Myself, I Would have stayed put unless there was a solid offer to trade down a few spots.

Trubisky
Hooker
Adams
OJ Howard

In order, was my personal list. The first 3 were interchangeable in wants as a fan. In no way did I want to see a trade up. But I don't know as much as these guys so. Who knows what goes on within the teams, workouts, and all the other information that goes around. But at the end of the day, I saw one of my top 4 picked sooo... I really had a feeling they were going to take Trub though. It was my gut.

But what I find interesting, that Trub wasn't on any radars anywhere. This was the first time I read this thread and went through it. Saw his name mentioned maybe once. Now I understand why it was such a shock to many here.
