I don't recall them drafting an undersized coverage free safety.EricTighe wrote:Obi Melifonwu we need the freak.
You can't coach up natural ability. Put a freak of an athlete with one of the best coaches in the world of Safeties and I believe we have a match made in heaven.
I do not get Budda Baker who got lit up more times then not on deep passes, plus we drafted a Budda Baker last year and you guys wanna give up on him already?. King has some potential but it is potential.
Obi One needs to come to Chicago. I said it about Urlacher when he was drafted and I will say it about this kid.
FREAK+PRODUCTION+DEDICATION= STAR.

I don't want a freak, Phil Emery was all about freaks, I want freaks with football intelligence.
If it's a safety, I'll sacrifice some size for tenacity and smarts. If it's a corner, I'll sacrifice some size/length for someone who is smart at reading route concepts/formations.

I don't know if he's a tackle though.UOK wrote:I'd love to get a trade down and nab Forrest Lamp in the latter stage of round 2. He seems like the kind of nasty dude Kyle Long would love.

I'd like Chidobe Awuzie or Quincy Wilson from Florida, but I think I'll stick with Bucky Hodges in round 2 from my mock draft as my prediction. I think we'd have a chance on him with a trade back, too.

My thoughts exactly. Pace is now an established Patsy and everyone will be embarrassed if they can't gouge him.karhu wrote:Yeah, no one's going to be content with a fair deal with Pace. They'll hold out for a steal and wait.

BS flag on this. He gave the going rate to move up for QB's as evidenced by the two other trade up's to get a QB. Was it arguable that it was too much, yes, did it fit the old charts, no, but it's what the league is at this moment.Middleguard wrote:My thoughts exactly.
