Who ya got?

My top tier:

Desmond King
Deatrich Wise
Carl Lawson (though at this point you've got to wonder if he checked out medically)\
Anthony Walker
Blair Brown

Josh Augusta (though we might not need another dedicated NT)
George Kittle (though at this point we really don't need--how to put it?--a sort of athletic Adam Shaheen who can block)

And another tier back, omitting a bunch of guys at positions we can't afford to draft:

Julie'n Davenport
Robert Davis
Ryan Switzer
Xavier Woods
Xavier Coleman
Josh Holsey
Jaleel Johnson

And in the fifth round, if we haven't taken Davenport, a LT prospect. Just a LT prospect. One of these guys:

Jylan Ware
Nick Callender
Dieugot Joseph
Brad Seaton

So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

I'll respond to yours since you put much more work into it. I'd like back to back Defense in. Round 4. I was hoping Rasul Douglas would fall to us. Maybe Carlos Watkins/Damontae Kazee. I'm sure Davenport is falling due his lack of elite competition, but I thought Roderick Johnson was graded really high.

Tyquan Lewis went back to school, btw.

My top ten, since that's where the Bears start off tomorrow:
Grover Stewart
Will Holden
Juile'n Davenport
Anthony Walker Jr
Nico Siragusa
Marlon Mack
Robert Davis
Blair Brown
Desmond King (I have him as a FS/nickel)
Sam Tevi

My board has very little left at CB and at EDGE to consider. Maybe some trait flyers late, but that's about it. A little discouraged there.

Dangit, I caught it too late. Copied that right off a spreadsheet I've been keeping, and I didn't bother culling some of the late-announcers.

Stewart intrigues the hell out of me, much like good-thyroid Augusta, but I don't know if they're flexible enough to be anything but third NTs for now. Only reason he wasn't on my list, though.

Siragusa's intriguing, too. I like Kofi Amichia a whole lot, too, if we're after a guard. Just figured that if Sitton or Long goes down, Whitehair would slide over and Grasu to C.

Some of the top guys on my board left who are not in an already drafted position like Bucky Hodges, or clearly not a fit or medically flagged like Carl Lawson.

Ejaun Price Edge - physical doesn't look or test the part but a player who makes plays on aggression and will.
Carroll Phillips Edge – Looks the part, tested the part, could be a good rotational development guy.
Dimick Hunter Edge - high college production who is a thumper energy guy.

Desmond King S - Could be a Safety and nickel option early, and could still play corner.
Xavier Woods S – Maybe its me but I love this kid. He is a playmaker.
Brian Allen CB/S – hybrid who needs to develop. Interesting prospect.

Jalen Myrick CB - Athletic CB with upside
Damontae Kazee CB – little guy with all the skills you want.
Corn Elder CB – Another little guy who is a beast.
Howard Wilson CB – Height and length you want with great quickness numbers.
Marquez White CB – Underrated guy who has the traits needed, and did well against top competition.

Vince Biegle LB - Was a pass rusher in college but would be an ILB with rushing ability.
Blair Brown LB - Athletic LB instinctual ILB

Roderick Johnson OT - I think he will go quickly, best OT on the board, RT with LT possibility.
Julen Davenport OT – every physical trait you could ask for. Upside pick.
Adam Bisnowaty OT – Will be a RT but he is physical, and athletic enough.

Chad Hansen WR - Celling is a #2 possession WR, Good Hands.
Josh Reynolds WR - A good deep option who is tall and good at high pointing ball.
Malachi Dupre WR - High celling guy who was hampered by bad QB play.

Brian Hill RB - One of my favorites in the class underrated
Jamal Williams RB - See above

Deatrickh Wise 5T - length and build to grow in to a 2 gapping end
Carlos Watkins 5t - known name but didn't produce as expected
Jaleel Johnson 5T - has a few fans on this board.
Vincent Taylor 5T - Underrated big build long, with quickness to penetrate

Oh wow, it finally happened, I agree with Adi about something. Eddie Jackson is the safety we need, had he not broken his leg, he would have gone in the 2nd at the latest. Supreme ballhawk who can electrify in the return game. He ended his Bama career with 5 TDs on returns (int or kick), smart player and was the leader in the Bama secondary his junior and senior years.

I do like Jackson...and he wouldn't have to play right away. Like apparently all our picks.

Day 3 guys I think make sense:

HB McNichols, Logan, McGuire, Henderson
Potential Langford replacements

OT Johnson, Bisnowaty, McDermott

E Wise, Godchaux, Johnson, Jones

WR Westbrook, Cannon
Less of a need after FA, but Westbrook is in and Cannon may get to steal territory

OLB Lawson, Phillips, Biegel

ILB Walker

S Jackson

K Gonzalez, Elliot

P Rehkow, Johnston, Vogel, Haak, Allen, Baker
Lots of candidates, probably involving a trade down. And a few of these guys will be available as FA. But O'Donnell's net blew last year.

-------------------------

At 117/119,
Walker, Johnson, McNichols, Wise, Westbrook, Lawson, Phillips

are my short list

Keeping with the theme (athletic players who need time to develop) this could be a logical group.

117 Deatrich Wise 5T
119 Juile'n Davenport OT
147. Malachi Dupre WR
197 Carroll Phillips Edge
221 Brian Allen CB

This does seem like the spot where you would gamble on Lawson with one of our 4ths.

Unfortunately, it might be this kind of red shirt:

Just read up a bit on Jackson's rehab. Looks promising; I was hinked out, but if he's on track to play this year, hevs up there too. We could salvage a weird start to the draft after all.

Would have preferred a DE or an OT. But nope.
