Nope.
Kirk is a good pick, and I like Hercules - but the rest of this leaves me wanting.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with Brandon Parker, though I suspect Round 6 is at least one round too late for him.wab wrote:First two are fine. The rest are meh.
But Watson, Justin Jackson, and Durham Smythe are all overvalued here (not to mention a whole lot of homerism with Jackson and Smythe), and I don't know where Mata’afa plays — he can't line up at DT like he was in college and likely can't play OLB.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with Parker. I think he's a decent RT prospect, but they need a guard before a RT. That's my complaint.
I like Smythe, but they don't need to spend a pick on a TE.
Two WR's? Are we assuming the Bears are just going to ignore FA?
No need to waste a pick on a RB this year either.
Hercules is a weird tweener that doesn't seem to be a great fit inside or outside.

It doesn't take into consideration any sort of moves in free agency.
Also, I'm far less convinced than you about not spending a pick on a RB. I'm willing to bet a nickel they do.

Mata'afa intrigues me to no end, but yeah, can he play OLB? I'm sure he'd be fine at DE in our 4 man d line sub packages...thunderspirit wrote:Oh, there's nothing wrong with Brandon Parker, though I suspect Round 6 is at least one round too late for him.wab wrote:First two are fine. If the kid did last till the 4th round, I'd probably be calling for his name anyway. It's a good problem to figure out, having a quick, leverage using guy who is damn hard to block. He'd be a good guy to bring in after Hicks has been beating on a RT all game and have him just slip bye for a nice sack in a key moment.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

I don't think anyone would be all that thrilled if a 4th rounder was our only investment in EDGE - regardless of the 4th rounders name.
I expect they will have to do something in FA regardless of what they plan on doing in the draft.
