41 years old. Hung himself. Leaves behind 6 kids.
Extremely saddened by this news, as Linkin Park was one of my favorite bands in high school.

another talent lost to everyone
I know he had drug problems in the past but thought he was cleaned up ... apparently still had demons of some kind

He was abused as a kid by an older man (take that for what you will) and I think he struggled with that greatly.Boris13c wrote:another talent lost to everyone

well that is bad, but if it was as a kid, that was over 30 years ago ... would that have really been what set him off now?

He's struggled with it for a while from what I understand... traumatic experiences like that as a kid have a really unfortunate impact on one's psyche. It can be dormant for years and then the littlest of things can trigger bouts of depression, etc. I think Cornell killing himself really fucked him up and my guess is today was just too much for him to bear.Boris13c wrote:G08 wrote:He was abused as a kid by an older man (take that for what you will) and I think he struggled with that greatly.Boris13c wrote:another talent lost to everyone
