Florida woman posts Grand Canyon pic just before falling to death
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. - A Florida woman accidentally stepped off an edge at Grand Canyon National Park and plummeted hundreds of feet to her death.

Officials say 35-year-old Colleen Burns of Orlando fell at Ooh Aah Point on Friday, about a mile down the popular South Kaibab Trail.

Park rangers found her body about 400 feet from where she had been standing.

Park officials say Burns had been with family hiking and taking photographs of the sunrise on the trail. They announced her death Monday.

Burns died nearly two weeks after a California man fell to his death at the national park.

According to multiple reports, Burns posted a photo of herself at the Grand Canyon to Instagram shortly before her fatal accident.
well, to her credit, she didn't walk off the cliff getting a selfie ... still, it is kind of strange she wasn't as aware of her surroundings as she should have been ... sad weird accident

Mom accused of putting kids, ages 3 and 5, in Corvette trunk
HANOVER, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania mother is accused of stuffing her children, ages 3 and 5, into the trunk of a red Corvette and then driving around town.

Hanover Borough Police pulled over the two-seat sports car on July 10 after getting a 911 call from a person who saw someone placing two children in the car's trunk.

Authorities say the mother, 29-year-old Jessica Reger, was in the passenger seat. She faces two misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person. A call seeking comment from her public defender wasn't immediately returned Monday.

The 28-year-old driver, Ilena Blackburn, has also been charged with recklessly endangering another person. No attorney information for her was available in online court documents.

New homeowner arrives at house, finds woman's dead boyfriend in bedroom
SIMI VALLEY, California — A man who showed up to inspect his newly purchased home made an unwelcome discovery, finding the body of the previous owner's boyfriend in a bedroom, reports say.

It has led to the arrest of the Mary Karacas, 75, who is accused of killing her boyfriend, Salvatore Orefice, 84, the Los Angeles Times reports.

According to the Associated Press, Karacas told police she got into an argument with Orefice and shot him.

The new homeowner told police he had arrived at the home to check on the moving process.

"When he knocked and there was no response, he found an open door and thought it was suspicious, so he went in," Simi Valley police commander Roy Jones said.

The man called police after he found Orefice's body covered by a blanket on a bed.

It's unknown how long Orefice had been dead, police say. Karacas is being held in jail on a murder charge. The gun reportedly used in the crime was recovered from her car.

Tiger Attacks Women in Beijing Animal Park, Killing One
A tiger attacked two women after they left their car in a Beijing animal park on Saturday.

The beginning of the attack was caught on surveillance footage in the Siberian tiger enclosure of Badaling Wildlife World. The video shows the younger woman exiting her car and walking around it to get back in, when the tiger seizes her and drags her off-screen. In the widely-shared video, the woman’s husband and mother jump out of the car to follow the attacker.

The husband was uninjured, reports the New York Times, but the mother was killed trying to save her daughter, who sustained serious injuries. It’s unclear why the woman exited her vehicle in the middle of a tiger sanctuary
I'd almost bet people are given pretty explicit instructions to stay in their vehicles while driving through the sanctuary, so don't know wtf this woman was thinking.

The article I read stated she was yelling at her husband.

The video she gets out walks over to drives door that opens. Clearly she looks pissed. Then the tiger snatches her. Husband and old lady give Chase off screen.

that was a very large tiger ... whatever argument she may have been having blinded her to the big cats still in the area? pretty dumb

Florida man arrested after officer mistakes Krispy Kreme doughnut glaze for meth

cops and donuts, yet again coming together for something of interest

a disturbing part of this story though :
The police department did not explain why the doughnut glaze tested positive for amphetamine in both field tests. In a statement, the department said the arrest was a lawful one.

Earlier this month, a New York Times investigation on roadside drug tests found that the testing kits used by Florida officers are far from reliable:

There are no established error rates for the field tests, in part because their accuracy varies so widely depending on who is using them and how. Data from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement lab system show that 21 percent of evidence that the police listed as methamphetamine after identifying it was not methamphetamine, and half of those false positives were not any kind of illegal drug at all.

I know on urinalysis quick tests with zantac comes back as meth. However the lab tests don't I have had that happen in my career.

I didn't know the narco pouches they are talking about could be so off for meth.

‘Grunting’ suspect in face-eating attack on a random rampage, deputies say
Something made a young man go mad.

He viciously stabbed a married couple twice his age, plus a neighbor who tried to intervene, deputies said. They found him crouched over the bleeding body of the man, biting chunks of his face off.

Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told reporters his deputies found the suspect late Monday in the driveway of a Tequesta home. Officers shot their stun guns at the 19-year-old multiple times to no avail. Even a police dog couldn’t get the man to release his victim.

Finally, three to four cops were able to wrench the suspect off the dead man. The man was “making animal noises,” and “grunting and growling” as officers yanked him away.

Inside the garage they found his wife, also stabbed to death. Inside the garage, deputies found a scene of carnage. Multiple “weapons of opportunity” were used to beat, slash and attack the couple, including a switchblade the suspect was known to carry. Officials said it looked like the husband tried to fight back.

“There was an enormous amount of violence in that garage,” Snyder said.

According to neighbors, the couple often liked to sit inside their garage with the door open. That’s how they were spending their Monday evening, Snyder said, until 19-year-old Austin Harrouff showed up. He didn’t know the couple, Snyder said. He called it a “completely unprovoked and random attack.”

The neighbor who called 911 rushed to help the husband, Snyder said, but he was stabbed as well. He underwent surgery early Tuesday morning.

Snyder said Harrouff, an FSU sophomore studying pre-exercise science, was eating dinner at Duffy’s, a sports pub down the block, with his parents when he got mad from possibly about slow service and stormed out. Snyder said he was in his hometown with some of his fraternity brothers, members of Alpha Delta Pi, according to his Facebook page.

Harouff, who originally gave police a fake name, is sedated in a hospital in Palm Beach County.

Two arrested after police find 16 decomposing bodies inside Florida funeral home
Two people were arrested Sunday after a tip led Florida police to a funeral home where they found 16 bodies in varying degrees of decay.

Funeral director Gregory Dunphy, 64, and Felicia Boesch, 39, the daughter of the funeral home’s owner, were arrested and charged with a combined 16 misdemeanor counts of unlawful storage of human remains.

The News-Herald reported that Bay Country Sheriff’s deputies responded to a tip about bodies being improperly stored at Brock’s Home Town Funeral Home near Panama City.

According to WJHG-TV, deputies found flies throughout the building and found at least six bodies being stored without any refrigeration. An additional 10 bodies were being stored in an area called the cooler which is supposed to be kept at no more than 40 degrees; the cooler was 62 degrees.

None of the bodies had been embalmed and cremations had not been done according to some family members’ wishes, the station reported.

"There's a lot of grief involved and our thoughts and prayers are with them, it's a very tough situation," Sherriff Tommy Ford told the station. "We're trying to be as sensitive as we can."

Dunphy spoke to News 13 about the situation at the funeral home. He told the station that he had only been working at Brock’s Funeral Home for three weeks as a favor to Boesch so she could handle a family emergency.

"This was a hell of a turmoil for me," he said.

When Dunphy arrived at the home, he said the conditions were “deplorable.” He said he found bodies outside the aforementioned cooler and didn’t know that the temperature wasn’t cold enough to store the bodies. He told News 13 that he didn’t have access to the cooler.

"The smell, the physical condition of the remains themselves. I mean that's somebody who is loved," Dunphy said. "I'm, morally and ethically, I was bound to report it, but I still had to give Felicia the chance to correct it."

Dunphy said he called the Bay County Sheriff’s Office about the funeral home’s condition.

The medical examiner’s office and a separate funeral home have taken custody of the bodies.

Ford said the incident is still under investigation. Sheriff's spokeswoman Ruth Corley said investigators are conferring with the state attorney's office to determine whether they'll face additional charges.

Trio strangled friend, then drove around with body disguised in hat and sunglasses, police say
Joshua Rose needed a doctor, but the hospital is not where his young friends took him.

Instead, the trio — two men and a woman — loaded the 21-year-old into a black Ford truck and drove past the emergency room, authorities said, despite the possibility that Rose may have been experiencing a drug overdose. Then they headed out of town.

Between there and the woods where police found Rose’s body, authorities say, the trio placed a plastic bag over their friend’s head and strangled him with jumper cables while driving down the interstate.

When they stopped to get gasoline at a Sunoco station, Rose’s body, still in the front seat of the truck, was disguised in a hat and sunglasses. Security cameras captured them on film.

And once they reached that wooded spot in Susquehanna County, right beside the railroad tracks, they pushed his body over an embankment, documents say, turned around and drove away.

Rose was missing for five days before authorities found him. This week, the 21-year-old’s trio of friends were arrested in connection to his death.

Preston Layfield, 19, Tyler Mirabelli, 22, and Amanda Wayda, 20, face charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy, and investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police told CBS affiliate WYOU that additional, more serious charges are pending the results of an autopsy to determine cause of death.

In local media reports, authorities did not give a motive for the trio’s behavior, but alluded to the possibility that Rose was having a health emergency that triggered his friends’ actions.

“The individual was probably having some sort of significant medical problem,” State Police Cpl. Mark Prushinski told WYOU, “and for whatever their thought process was, it appears as though he was strangled.”

Doctor Removes 130-Pound Tumor From Mississippi Man
BAKERSFIELD (AP) — A California doctor removed a 130-pound tumor from a Mississippi man who had been told by other physicians that he was just fat.

Roger Logan, 57, had the non-cancerous growth removed on Jan. 31 at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, where he will remain for another week or so before returning to Gulfport, Mississippi.

The tumor probably started as an ingrown hair that became infected, swelled and developed its own blood supply, Logan’s surgeon, Dr. Vipul Dev, told the Bakersfield Californian.

It sprouted from his lower abdomen more than a decade ago.

Doctors told him: “You’re just fat, it’s just fat,” Logan told KERO-TV in Bakersfield.

The tumor grew so massive that it hung to the floor when he sat.

“I used to equate it, you just put a strap around your neck and carry three bags of cement around with you all day long, just swinging,” Logan said.

Virtually unable to move, he spent most of his time in a recliner in one room of his home.

By the time the tumor reached 130 to 140 pounds, doctors told Logan it was too risky for him to have surgery, giving him only a 50 percent chance of surviving it.

But his wife, Kitty, scoured the country for specialists to perform the operation and found Dev, who had performed similar surgeries.

“She just kept pushing,” Logan told the Californian. “She wouldn’t let me quit.”

Logan finally made the 2,000-mile, 40-hour trip to Central California with his chair bolted to the floor of a cargo van, “just like I was in my living room at home,” Logan told the paper.

Logan is now recovering and last Thursday he was able to walk for practically the first time in years.

“My feet are together,” Logan said, wiggling his toes in his hospital bed. “They haven’t been together in years.”

so many things about this are just odd .... and a tumor begun as an ingrown hair getting to 130+ pounds? yeesh

Chuck E. Cheese’s Fight Sends Mom, Daughter To Hospital
EVERETT (CBS/AP) – A fight broke out at a Chuck E. Cheese’s in Everett Monday night, sending two people to the hospital.

Police say a mother and daughter are being treated for minor injuries.

Chuck E. Cheese’s says an argument between two adults at the chain’s arcade and restaurant escalated into violence with an object being thrown.

The company says in a statement it prides itself on maintaining a safe experience for families.

No arrests have been made but police say they are investigating.

This is the same Chuck E. Cheese’s where a brawl broke out in December. In that incident, five adults were accused of drinking and attacking officers.
there is something very sad about essentially a kid's restaurant becoming a violent hot spot because of stupid adults

Lawyer’s Pants Catch Fire During Florida Arson Trial
It seemed like a set up to a tired joke: A lawyer's pants caught on fire in court.

But on Wednesday, it was Stephen Gutierrez's reality when the Florida defense attorney's pants began smoking during an arson trial, Eleventh Circuit Court Public Relations Director Eunice Sigler confirmed to NBC News Thursday.

Gutierrez, 28, was in the in the Miami-Dade county courtroom defending 49-year-old Claudy Charles, who was accused of setting his car alight.

But During his closing argument, Gutierrez began to feel heat coming from his pocket where he had several electric cigarette batteries, he told NBC News in an email.

As Gutierrez argued Charles' car had merely spontaneously combusted, the lawyer's pants seemed to do the same.

Witnesses in the courtroom told the Miami Herald the moment was "surreal," as Gutierrez rushed out of the courtroom while smoke billowed from his pocket.

Gutierrez said as the heat intensified, he hurried into the bathroom where he tossed the battery in water. He was able to return to the courtroom with a singed pocket.

"This was not staged," Gutierrez said. "No one thinks that a battery left in their pocket is somehow going to 'explode. After careful research, I now know this can happen. I am not the only one this has happened to, but I am in a position to shed light on the situation."

Pregnant Texas 19-year-old woman who aspired to be model killed by train while having photos taken on tracks
A pregnant 19-year-old Texas woman was fatally struck by a train while having photos taken of her on the tracks in a bid to launch her modeling career.

Fredzania Thompson attended Blinn College in Bryan but wanted to put her education on hold to begin modeling, her mother told the Eagle.

"That's definitely what she wanted to do," Hakamie Stevenson told the newspaper. "It's what she had started to do the day she was deceased."

Thompson was standing between two sets of tracks Friday in Navasota when a BNSF Railway train approached, according to the paper. She moved out of the way, but was apparently unaware that a Union Pacific train was coming in the opposite direction.

The teen passed away from her injuries on her way to the hospital, according to the newspaper.
a tragedy that a young person died

on the other hand, a young person this stupid dying is a cleansing of the gene pool

and wtf were her friends and photographer thinking and doing? no one had the sense to pause the shoot when they noticed trains on the train tracks?

Girl found living with monkeys in Indian forest begins walking normally, eating with hands
LUCKNOW, India (AP) — Indian police are reviewing reports of missing children to try to identify a girl who was found living in a forest with a group of monkeys.

The girl, believed to be 10 to 12 years old, was unable to speak, was wearing no clothes and was emaciated when she discovered in January and taken to a hospital in Bahraich, a town in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India.

She behaved like an animal, running on her arms and legs and eating food off the floor with her mouth, said D.K. Singh, chief medical superintendent of the government-run hospital.

After treatment, she has begun walking normally and eating with her hands.

"She is still not able to speak, but understands whatever you tell her and even smiles," Singh said.

Some woodcutters spotted the girl roaming with monkeys, police officer Dinesh Tripathi told The Associated Press on Thursday. They alerted police.

"They said the girl was naked and was very comfortable in the company of monkeys. When they tried to rescue the girl, they were chased away by the monkeys," the officer said.

She was rescued later by a police officer in the Katarniya Ghat forest range. "When he called the girl, the monkeys attacked him but he was able to rescue the girl. He sped away with her in his police car while the monkeys gave chase," Tripathi said.

He said police are trying to determine how the girl got into the forest and who her parents are.

She will be sent to a home for juveniles until she is identified, Singh said.

Oregon man carries mother’s severed head into a grocery, stabs a clerk, police say
It had been a quiet Mother’s Day afternoon at the Harvest Market Thriftway in Estacada, Ore., until Joshua Lee Webb barged into the neighborhood grocery store, covered in blood, according to police.

In one hand, the 36-year-old man held a kitchen knife, police said.

In the other, they said, he held a severed human head.

As terrified customers ran out of the store and called 911, Webb charged a store clerk, stabbing him multiple times, police said. Store employees quickly wrestled the knife away from him and pinned him down until police arrived.

Around the same time, police responded to a 911 call in the nearby town of Colton, Ore. A woman lay dead inside her home, the caller told police.

It didn’t take long for investigators to link the two reports. The dead woman was Webb’s mother. The severed head in his hand was hers, police said.

After investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies, Webb on Monday was charged with the murder of his mother, 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb, and the attempted murder of the clerk, 66-year-old Michael Wagner.

Webb was booked into the Clackamas County Jail, where he remained as of Tuesday morning. It was not clear if he had been assigned an attorney.

Wagner was admitted to the hospital and was expected to recover, local media reported.

Don't Put Wasp Nests In Your Vagina
Forbes - Jun 2, 2017

You know the Capitol One advertisement that asks, "what's in your wallet?" Well, replace the word "wallet" with "vagina", and it seems like every several months or so, someone else is offering a new answer to this question, along with an ask from your wallet. A while ago, the provided answer was steam, which turned out to be hot air. Then, along came jade eggs, being sold on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop website. Then it was Herbal Womb Detox Pearls, perfumed herbs in the shape of balls. (Yes, they were selling balls to put in your vagina). Now, the latest answer to "what's in your vagina" is wasp nests. Indeed, on Etsy, a craft website, in addition to buying materials to make some candles, weave some baskets, or do some gardening, you can purchase oak galls, a medicinal paste of bark and wasp excreta that you can put inside your vagina.

Why in the world would you put wasp nest material in your vagina? An oak gall results when wasps plant eggs in an oak tree. Here's one description from one seller on Etsy:

"Oak galls also known as oak apples comes from oak trees indigenous to Asia Minor and Persia. It is known as manjakani in Malay or majuphal in Indian. They are produced when the bark or leaves of the oak tree Quercus infectoria are penetrated by the female Gallwasp, Cynips Gallae-tinctoriae, who lays its eggs inside.The spontaneous chemical reaction caused by the penetration stimulates the bark or leaves to produce a roundish hard ball called an oak gall."

Well, oak galls caught the eye of Dr. Jen Gunter, an OB-GYN specialist who's become known as a Guardian of the Vagina, warning everyone about the latest products targeting your vagina that really shouldn't put in your vagina. As she describes in her blog, the claims are that it can tighten your vagina, improve your sex life, "restore the elasticity of the uterine wall", clean your vagina, and improve your general health and well-being. That's a lot of claims. (They didn't say whether it can park your car as well.) How much scientific evidence is offered to support these claims? The big 0, as in zero.

The aforementioned seller on Etsy also states that oak galls have "been used as dental powder and as a treatment for toothache and gingivitis. It is a powerful astringent, the most powerful of all vegetable astringents. It can be applied topically or taken orally." The seller offer no scientific evidence behind these claims as well. In fact, the seller adds (or maybe I should say shouts because it is in ALL CAPS): "DISCLAIMER: PRODUCTS SOLD HERE ARE NOT INTENDED TO DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE OR PREVENT ANY DISEASES. THESE STATEMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN EVALUATED BY US FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION OR ANY OTHER MEDICAL AUTHORITIES." Basically, this means, "don't hold us to anything that we say on this web page."

Pennsylvania alarm clock stuck in wall for 13 years goes off every day
A Pennsylvania homeowner is reminded of the alarm clock that's stuck in the wall of his home when it goes off -- every day for the last 13 years.

Jerry Lynn told KDKA that he dropped the alarm clock in September 2004 while trying to drill a hole in the living room wall of his home in Ross. Lynn said he was using the alarm clock to pinpoint the spot where he could run a wire to connect his television.

"As I was laying it down, all of a sudden I heard it go ‘thunk!’ as it came loose," Lynn told the news station. "I thought, well, that’s not a real problem. You know it’s still going to go off. And it did."

Lynn and his wife Sylvia thought the clock's battery would run out in three or four months, but 13 years later, they're still hearing the beeps.

"It is still going off every day. And during Daylight Saving Time it goes off at ten minutes ’til eight. And during standard time it goes off at ten minutes to seven at night," Lynn said.
so it never occurred to them to cut through the drywall and retrieve it?

more importantly, what kind of batteries were in the thing? 13 years of service is above and beyond expected battery life cycle

French Instagram fitness star killed by exploding whipped cream canister
Rebecca Burger, a French fitness blogger, has died after a whipped cream dispenser exploded in her chest.

Burger, who had 160,000 Instagram followers and more than 55,000 Facebook fans, passed away at the weekend.

Citing local reports in France, the BBC reported that she died of cardiac arrest after the accident, despite being attended to by medics.

Her family announced her death on Facebook, calling it a "domestic accident." A warning about the faulty dispensers has also been posted on her Instagram. It said the canister "exploded and struck Rebecca's chest, causing her death".

The dispensers shoot gas into a metal capsule, which keeps the pressure high. The BBC said a French consumer group has warned readers for years about faulty connectors on the gas capsules, causing them to break and expel at high speed.

The number of accidents from such dispensers even prompted the government office for consumers to issue a warning, saying the accidents stretch back as far as 2010, and can occur at any time - even after years of use, it said.

Someone made a ridiculous video about NASA finding aliens. News outlets took the bait.
The headlines sound thrilling. One might say they bait a click.

“ANONYMOUS SAYS NASA HAS EVIDENCE OF ALIEN LIFE. DOES IT?” — Newsweek

“The world's biggest hacking group thinks NASA is about to announce alien life.” — the Independent

It's June, 2017 — still early days in a century full of scientific promise and information revolutions.

Maybe you know of Anonymous as a band of socially enlightened hackers: liberators of knowledge from elites who want to hide it from the public.

What, you wonder, has Anonymous learned about aliens that NASA doesn't want to reveal yet?

So you click.

And what you get, if you follow the professional news articles to the amateur YouTube channel that is their source, is video of a man in a Guy Fawkes mask — “Anonymous Global,” he calls himself — reading out old quotes from NASA spokespeople in a spooky, synthesized voice.

The man in the anarchist mask quotes a NASA science director's testimony from a congressional hearing in April, all totally public: “We are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented discoveries in history.”

Anonymous Gobal doesn't show the actual testimony, in which NASA's Thomas Zurbuchen talked up recent discoveries of planets around distant suns and organic chemicals on Saturn's moon but caveated that “we haven't found definitive signs of life just yet.”
so some guy posts some weird and most probably fabricated stuff on a YouTube Channel, and real news agencies pick up on it and use it as a source for their stories?

really? professional journalism has sunk that low? wow .....

Woman Delays Flight in China With ‘Lucky’ Coin-Throw Into Engine
Bad weather, crowded skies and military drills…and now add coin-tossing to the growing list of reasons for China’s notorious flight delays.

Police took away an 80-year-old woman Tuesday after fellow passengers reported that she was throwing coins at the plane during boarding of China Southern Airlines flight CZ380 on the tarmac of Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport.

“The passenger, surnamed Qiu, who has no prior criminal record or mental health issues, claimed she tossed coins as a prayer for a safe flight,” Shanghai Police said in a statement.

It added that officers found nine coins at the scene, including one that fell into the engine of the Airbus A320 aircraft, with others scattered on the ground nearby.

The airline had to clear nearly 150 passengers from the full flight bound for Guangzhou, originally scheduled to depart at 12:40 pm.

“To ensure flight safety, China Southern’s aircraft maintenance staff conducted a thorough inspection of the engine, which concluded at 4:53 pm, and cleared the aircraft for takeoff,” the carrier said in a statement.

The flight eventually took off at 6:16 pm and arrived at its destination more than five hours late.

A police photo shows the total value of the coins added up to 1.7 yuan (about 25 US cents), but local media estimated the cost of engine inspection and flight delay could easily run in the thousands of dollars.

Police said the case was under further investigation.

Doctors remove 4-inch sex toy stuck in woman’s rectum
A young caregiver has issued a warning to couples after having to get a four-inch sex toy surgically removed from her rectum.

Emily Georgia, 20, was left almost needing a colostomy bag when the stainless steel toy vanished during a night of passion.

After attempts to manually retrieve it failed a concerned friend rushed Georgia to the hospital where doctors warned her there was a risk of it perforating her bowel.

The caregiver is now speaking out to warn others that embarrassment shouldn’t stop those who find themselves in similar predicaments from seeking medical help.

Georgia from, who lives in East Preston, a small town on England’s south coast, said: “We were having a naughty night in last March and decided to use the toy – I’d never used one before.”

She added: “I think he got too excited and managed to push the end of it in too. It was a goner.”

“I began to panic and told him I needed to go the hospital. He said it should come out naturally on the toilet and then he said ‘I’m really sorry I have work early in the morning’ and he shot off.”

```
As she was being wheeled to have surgery the following day, doctors told Georgia if they couldn’t extract it rectally they might have to go through the bowel and take some out which could mean at least six months with a colostomy bag.
Georgia said: “Obviously when they said about the colostomy bag I was devastated – I’m only 20.”
“I’m a caregiver and I’ve seen colostomy bags – they’re not pretty, I’ve never been so frightened.”
“When they spoke about the gem and that it could perforate my bowel I was devastated that a night of fun could have killed me.”
Georgia underwent hour-long surgery which involved placing a camera inside her before it was manually extracted.
Post-surgery nurses offered the toy as a keepsake which she accepted.
Georgia said: “If anyone is in the same situation I would advise to obviously try and get it out yourself first but then definitely take yourself straight to the hospital if you can.”
“It’s not as embarrassing as it seems – people [in the emergency room] see things like this all the time and will have seen far worse things up people’s rectums.”
this part of the story that really irks me :
“I began to panic and told him I needed to go the hospital. He said it should come out naturally on the toilet and then he said ‘I’m really sorry I have work early in the morning’ and he shot off.”
so the guy left ... ... even after the person he just had sex with said she needed to go to the hospital ... which makes him a supreme asshole
Texas teen electrocuted while holding cellphone in a bathtub
A 14-year-old Texas girl was killed while holding her cellphone in a bathtub.
Madison Coe, a north Texas resident, was electrocuted when she either plugged her phone in or grabbed it while it was already charging, her grandmother told local NBC affiliate KCBD.
“There was a burn mark on her hand, the hand that would have grabbed the phone,” grandmother Donna O’Guinn told KCDB. “And that was just very obvious that that’s what had happened.”
Madison was visiting her father in Lovington, N.M., when she died Sunday.
what part of no electrical stuff while in the bathtub is still a mystery to anyone?
I look upon this death as Darwinism in process
People just can't be unconnected from the world nowadays. Especially teens and young adults it seems.
Bodies of couple missing since 1942 likely found in glacier
Udry-Dumoulin is the youngest of seven children born to Marcelin and Francine Dumoulin. The couple went to milk their cows on a meadow above their home in Switzerland's Valais canton on August 15, 1942, according to the Reuters news agency, and never came home.
The regional police force told local media the bodies were discovered last week, near a ski lift on the Tsanfleuron glacier, by a worker for an adventure resort company.
"The bodies were lying near each other. It was a man and a woman wearing clothing dating from the period of World War Two," Glacier 3000 director Bernhard Tschannen told local media, according to Reuters. "They were perfectly preserved in the glacier and their belongings were intact."
Tschannen told the Tribune de Geneve that his staff believed the couple likely fell into a crevasse, "where they stayed for decades. As the glacier receded, it gave up their bodies."
"It was the first time my mother went with him on such an excursion, "Udry-Dumoulin told Le Matin. "She was always pregnant and couldn't climb in the difficult conditions of a glacier."
"For the funeral, I won't wear black. I think that white would be more appropriate. It represents hope, which I never lost."
Alabama man kills 820-pound wild hog in front yard with gun
SAMSON, Ala. -- Hogs aren't unusual in rural south Alabama, but Wade Seago said he'd never seen anything like the 820-pound animal he shot and killed in his front yard.
Seago told al.com that he and his daughter spotted the massive hog in their yard in Samson last week after the family's pet schnauzer Cruiser started barking.
"Cruiser had this huge hog confused with all of the barking and movement," Wade said. "It was not a good situation."
So the man got his .38-caliber handgun and took aim. It took three shots to drop the hog, Seago said, and he later weighed it on scales at a peanut company.
Seago told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he plans to display the hog's stuffed head and shoulders at his taxidermy shop. He said the rest of the remains were discarded on a friend's property.
"It's so humid down here, it had to hang all night. I wouldn't trust the meat," he said.
Seago didn't have any regrets about killing the hog, which had tusklike teeth that were 6 inches long. Feral hogs cause millions of dollars in damage annually, and hunters on private land can kill as many of them as they want under Alabama law.
"I didn't think twice about taking down this hog," Seago said. "I'd do it again tomorrow."
I would think if he had gotten an actual butcher involved, the meat could have been used ... kind of a shame to just dump 800+ pounds of pork
