I'd like for Mitchell to get that first win under his belt ... but I just don't see it happening in Baltimore
* Bears defense is decimated by injury right at the time when Flacco is back to full health and the Ratbird offense is being productive
* Bears WR's did Trubisky no favors on Monday night, and unless a couple of replacements are put in to start he may still be facing an uphill battle because the Ratbird secondary is better than the Vikings I believe
I am so rooting for the Bears to find him some immediate help (Gentry is now to the active roster and is better than Bellamy) ... and I don't know what they're going to do on the defensive side with no ILB's (a 5-2-4 alignment maybe?)
I so hope I am wrong, but I do not believe the Bears can prevail

Flacco is playing terrible right now, so that's nice I guess. Still I don't see it.
I think the offense comes around a little and scores a few points, but not enough. Mitch plays a clean game, but I don't really trust the rest of the team. If the trend continues, the Bears will lose 2 more players to IR.

Flacco has been playing hurt but rumors from the Baltimorons is he is now back to where he should be ... healthy just in time for the Bears, which is just how their luck goeswab wrote:Flacco is playing terrible right now, so that's nice I guess.

It's an L.
Ravens D too formidable for the Bears O. Howard will continue to do well. Cohen will continue to run around in circles and not really be a factor.
Biscuit will rely on Miller and the other TEs in the short passing game which will stall out.
Ravens O punishes the Bears D with multiple long drives which end in 7. there will be at least one more Bear lost to injury this game, pray it is not Hicks.

Who knows.
I am looking forward to seeing more of what Trubisky can do with this team. Overall I liked what we saw Monday night from him, but the coaching and team didn't help him out one bit. The defense played well but these injuries just killed them, some nice efforts by several players but going to the 8th signal caller dosnt help.
I really am having a tough time with this game. Baltimore is really struggling themselves in many areas. Think this is a coin flip game. In that case, I'm going to continue with my fandom with my pick.

Ive also got this one down as a W, Bears upset the Ravens in their own house.
Trubisky and Gentry find some rhythm and Wheaton remembers what his hands are for.
Miller hauls in a deep pass over the top for a TD, similar to that game winner against San Diego a couple seasons ago.

9 PLAYOFF APPEARANCES IN THE PAST 35 SEASONS
The Ravens defense is averaging about two interceptions a game, so I do expect Trubisky to throw a pick or two. Which I'm fine with in this stage of his development. He needs to learn what throws he can make, and which ones he won't get away with.
I think that'll end up being the difference in the game, but it's not that Trubisky will cost the Bears the win.
Ravens 20
Bears 10
What I think will really cost the Bears the game is the defense's inability to create turnovers to help counter a rookie QB's mistakes/growing pains. With the way Joe Flacco has been playing inconsistently, the defense needs to create some turnovers, but it won't.

The Ravens and Flacco are on the descent, but the Bears have more holes than talent. Trubisky will have another week of practice with the one. On the other hand the Ravens will have more just preseason tape on Trubisky. I hope Loggains realizes he has a bruiser at tailback an gives Howard more carries. I also hope Loggains adds a few plays to Trubisky's repertoire. Maybe roll left too? Can Floyd get a sack when he is not chasing a statue? Will the D ever get an INT? I think this is a winnable game, but until they do win another I can't predict a win here.

We have more holes, but where we do have talent, is superior to the competition. We have an above average secondary, and they’re receivers are meh. Which will help our talented pass rushers against a not very good o-line.
I think the Vikes have a better front seven than Baltimore, and Howard had a good game against them. They have the secondary advantage, but Biscuit still puts up 2 TDs.

I’m seeing now that Raven’s CB Jimmy Smith probably won’t play, and they’ll be starting a rookie guard.

I'm hopeful that Longains is not way over his head and he can get this offense moving towards the right direction. Some of our guys are talented but all of them just got over playing with an uninspiring miserable quarterback. Hell even the coaches must have been getting glassy-eyed. Try to put yourself in their place...
So I think we'll gradually see penalties go down, timing and execution improve, some of the wideouts will step up. Dabisky will elevate their performance. They'll gain confidence as the season drags along.
This week the Ravens offensive line will play like shit and our defense will hang on by their fingernails.
Bears win 20 - 16

I think Trubisky sees some natural progression in his game from week to week. The Ravens have a tough secondary but are pretty vulnerable to the run. I expect a lot of Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen, much like how we game planned against the Steelers. The difference this time around Trubisky will be able to take advantage in the play action pass game. I see the Bears pulling off an upset in a close game. Biscuit runs for one and throws for one - and dare I say it - Connor Barf to kick the GW FG with seconds left on the clock:

Tough to see the Bears pulling out a road win after what we saw on Monday night. Penalties and lack of talent, injuries will prove too much to overcome again.

Bears offense hasn't managed 20 pts in 4 quarters yet. Only chance of a W is for Mitch to get some reliability from his WRs after the roster moves, or for the D to generate some takeaways and restrict the Ravens to less than 20 pts. Cannot see either happening yet.

My HOPE is that each week Mitch and the offense look a little better than the week before. If that is the case, this is easily winnable. The Vikings were a better defense than the Ravens and we should be able to find some rhythm throughout the game. I expect a big play from Cohen at some point and he’s overdue. The Defesnse has also been playing lights out and is over due for the ball to bounce their way for a while..
I’m holding out hope and will bet the Bears win outright 27-21.
Shaheen will strat to get some of Sims reps too, so look for him to get a look or two throughout the game.

No, I am not. The listed rule said nothing about font color. In fact, it mentioned everything to do with font except color. Hard for me to imagine us doing much more vs Baltimore's D on the road, than we did vs Minnesota at home. It's a game we can certainly hang-in, as Baltimore's offense has been extremely underwhelming themselves.
Maybe we can pull a low-scoring game out, but with how bad we've been on the road.

My predictions have been brutal so far this season, and at this point I've become convinced that the Bears just have too many injuries at WR and LB to take on the Ravens in their barn. This probably means the Bears will win, convincingly, but I digress.
The Bears should be due to look prepared, since more often than not so far this year they have looked sloppy and undisciplined. Will John Fox be grinning on the sidelines again as we all collectively roll our eyes over something stupid like taking a delay of game penalty after a timeout?
The optimist in me thinks that the team will get off to a fast start again but this time will avoid getting absolutely hosed by the zebras in order to get a lead and start to make the Ravens offense a little more predictable. This should lead to the takeaways going in our favor for a change, with the team putting together a strong game in all three phases.
The pessimist in me anticipates more bizarre signs of a team that isn't all on the same page, despite being with the same coaching leadership into their third season. Somehow the Bears lose several key players to injury, and the whole game starts to unravel. Trubisky gets put in a position where he has to try and force the ball downfield and makes a few key mistakes that give the Ravens a short field, leading to the team ultimately falling to 1-5.
All that said, I'll go optimistic in my prediction:

I find it difficult to buy that the 1-4 Bears, who've been blown out 2 for 2 on the road will win in Baltimore. Their offense doesn't scare anyone. But their D is good. And now they have tape on Biscuit heading into his first NFL road game. I think this game will be a lot like last week's defensive taffy pull early without our ILBs falling apart. We have a chance to win if we can generate turnovers. Oh yeah, we suck at that.

Edit... After further thought, between Whitehair's snap foibles and a rookie going with silent snap counts for the first time in a real game, there's no way our offense is going to score 17. And that will trickle down to wear out the defense. Having DT back will help, but we'll likely have another injury or two... One step forward, 2 steps back.
