The Bears should cut Glennon/Sanchez, and sign Kaaya as Trubisky's back up. He's looked good in the preseason.G08 wrote:I'm so happy I never have to think about this dude in a Bears uniform again...

You know that's never ever been true.RING4CHI wrote:If he looked good in preseason, he wouldn't have been cut.

Hey, you never know. Work on speed drills, improve his footwork and throwing motion, might get a decent #2 for cheap.Adipost wrote:G08 wrote:I'd kick the tires on him on the practice squad, but my goodness was it clear his traits wouldn't transfer to the NFL.
Longshot, though for sure.

Brad Kaaya is rejoining the Lions for a third time
ALLEN PARK -- Brad Kaaya isn't even to the halfway point of his rookie year, and he's already agreed to a fourth NFL contract.
This time, the former Miami quarterback is signing with Detroit's practice squad according to NFL Network.
Kaaya was originally selected by the Lions in the sixth round of the draft, but was cut coming out of training camp. And that set off a peripatetic couple months that included getting claimed by the Panthers on Sept. 3, cut by the Panthers on Oct. 17, claimed by the Lions on Oct. 18, then cut again by the Lions on Oct. 23. That cleared room for the return of suspended defensive tackle Khyri Thornton.
But it has been clear from the start that GM Bob Quinn is interested in developing Kaaya, and now he'll get a chance to do it where he wanted all along -- on the practice squad.

this thread is pretty funny too.
this lead up to the draft has me thinking non-stop about 2017.

I don't like his arm, I hate how unathletic he is, and I really don't like how he's been checking into bad plays this season. Dude just... isn't a good QB right now.
