The Fearsome Foursome has nothing to do with the Bears.
Since they were the Rams, the Around the NFL forum is their best discussion area.

the Rams Fearsome Foursome was creating havoc and recording QB sacks before QB sacks were even a statistic ... and they were doing it as just a front 4 without exotic blitz schemes ... so they are a valid choice as possibly the best in NFL history ... plus, Dick Butkus gave a nod to them as the most dominant defensive lines in football ... if Butkus endorses them, I think it is hard to argue the point
but did you know that nickname originated with the San Diego Chargers, and was also used to refer to the Detroit Lions front 4, prior to it being applied to the more commonly known Rams contingent?

Did you create an account just to ask this question?

Honestly, I thought some Bear fans would disagree with the notion that the Fearsome Foursome was the best and, like me, consider the Buddy Ryan era Bears a better unit.G08 wrote:Did you create an account just to ask this question?
The Fearsome Foursome is running away with a fan poll I saw, and I thought some Bear fans would want an opportunity to do something about that.

That's interesting
Do you have a link to this poll? Maybe we can help skew the results!

the Buddy Ryan Bears defense got sacks and pressures with blitzes and sending more than the 4 down linemen at the QB ... the Rams got the majority of their sacks and pressures from the front 4 defensive linemen only ... so because of that, comparing the 85 Bears to the 70's era Rams is like apples and oranges
