Most people thought we were a lock to sign Albert Wilson. Most people were wrong.

Most people think it would be bananas to go into the season with Meredith, Robinson, and White as the Bears top three WR's.

Most people look at Taylor Gabriel as a nice complimentary type WR who has the speed to beat a defense over the top.

Most people on twitter have mentioned him as a possible target for the Bears and someone who isn't going to break the bank to sign

My criteria:
  • Is the player a wide receiver under the age of 30?
Okay, that works.

Has 'only' missed an average of 1.5 games per season (over 4 seasons).

This is our Tyreek Hill. I still think Pace really wanted Watkins but it is what it is.

Would like to see Inman resigned and Wheaton cut with the Gabriel addition.

So FOR SURE our main passing targets should be:

Robinson
Burton
Gabriel
Shaheen
Cohen (as a RB)

Right? White and Meredith can be considered afterthoughts at this point and anything we get out of them is gravy. I think we might be done at WR to the point where I see no need to draft one in the first two rounds...

Pace taking no prisoners when it comes to the WR position. Its clear Nagy told him what he wanted, and Pace is delivering. I would really like to see Inman re-signed, but its not imperative now.

Watching some of his highlights, three things stand out;

1. Speed, speed, speed. Holy shit.
2. He is a great catcher of the ball. Look at how he uses his hands.
3. Runs solid routes.

I am imagining him in motion while Tarik Cohen is in the backfield. CRAZY, CRAZY options. This could be a really fun year (please!).

IF, and its a BIG HUGE IF. If White can stay healthy, Robinson and White would be an interesting pair.

Gabriel can get all kinds of exciting. He'd have more production if Julio wasn't the focal point of that offense
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Well, there's the speed guy.
And speed to effing burn.

Also, just cos he's like 5-7 doesn't make him a slot receiver.

Also also, weird that he and Markus Wheaton have the exact same birthday (2/7/91).

I wish I knew the terms on this one.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
