Not a fan of the straight bill. I like the unstructured hats better.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 2:44 pmEven in team colors I don't think I'd be a fan of it.HisRoyalSweetness wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 1:13 pm Not a fan of caps that aren't in the team's colours.
I have a Bears hat that is maroon, get compliments on it all the time. I also have a camo one that I use when hunting.

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

The skull cap I won in the draft contest a few years back is getting kind of worn, I'm looking forward to replacing it after this year's contest:

I’ll see your skull cap and raise you the hat I bought the day after the Thursday night Bears-Vikings game in which Jim McMahon yelled at Ditka on the sidelines until he finally put him in.

Truly one of my favorite Bears games of all-time. I was going ape shit after McMahon came in and threw those TD passes (I don't tend todo this during games). I began to get a real good feeling about the team after that one.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:02 pmI’ll see your skull cap and raise you the hat I bought the day after the Thursday night Bears-Vikings game in which Jim McMahon yelled at Ditka on the sidelines until he finally put him in.
Wear it tonight, brother, and let's see the magic flow again. This may be the most anticipated draft in my 60+ years of being a fan.

If Charles Martin doesn't commit the dirtiest play in NFL history and basically end McMahon's career, I think we win at least one more Super Bowl and likely about 3. That defense was THAT good. Sadly we had nothing at QB. Seems to be strong theme with this team.Grizzled wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:30 pmTruly one of favorite Bears games of all-time. Watching that game also. I wanted to toss something through the tv and I'm not a tossing guy. I agree, it cost the team big time. Should have permanently banned his ass although he never really had a career after his suspension.Arkansasbear wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 3:40 pmIf Charles Martin doesn't commit the dirtiest play in NFL history and basically end McMahon's career, I think we win at least one more Super Bowl and likely about 3. OK, so I've left my prediction to the last minute because I've been pouring over draft reports, watching copious amounts of film and reading every article about every player I could find... oh who am I kidding? I don't have a Scooby Doo! So like Bungo the Womble selecting his name from a world atlas I've just opened a couple of mock drafts, closed my eyes and pointed a finger at a random name.
First pick:
Choice 1: 7 pts QB Caleb Williams
Choice 2: 4 pts QB Jayden Daniels
Choice 3: 1 pt QB Drake Maye
(Come on, it's got to be Williams. If it's not it will be the biggest shock in draft history.)
Second pick:
Choice 1: 8 pts WR Rome Odunze
Choice 2: 5 pts DT Byron Murphy II
Choice 3: 2 pts OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Third pick:
Choice 1: 9 pts C Zach Frazier
Choice 2: 6 pts TE Theo Johnson
Choice 3: 3 pts DE Adisa Isaac
Fourth pick:
Choice 1: 10 pts WR Brenden Rice
Choice 2: 7 pts DT Kris Jenkins
Choice 3: 4 pts DE Myles Cole

Good thing I got a new knife for my birthday and have been practicing. This is looking likely. I’m one of 10 with a perfect score so far.

I didn't get to watch last night but sounds like it was interesting at least.
Happy with the picks so far, but dang I wanted Bowers. Oh well.
Another thing, Im sure there are articles written about this, but first defensive player wasn't taken til pick 15?
Tells you something about how GMs value players these days. Defense barely matters.

I think it's just a historically bad defensive draft.Burl wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 8:12 am I didn't get to watch last night but sounds like it was interesting at least.

You had about 7 amazing offensive players that stood out and needed to go first.
But after that, 7 more went until defense, and I'm not sure those second 7 were head and shoulders above the defensive options.

Grizzled should be right there too.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Caleb, and Hell followed with him.

I'm impressed with anyone that got the first three. I had never heard of Kiran Amegadjie before this weekend, but watching his tape, I'm glad we drafted him.
