Shoei Ohtani just set a new bar for a sports contract, signing with the LA Dodgers for 10 years, $700 million dollars. Per his wishes, much of the money will be deferred for tax reasons. This contract exceeds the 4 year $674M contract that Messi signed with Barcelona.
