My nephew in the Denver area was pissed at this trade. He asked if he could change his alliance to the Bears. Told him he just needed to wait and see what is going to happen in both cities. He seems to forget, I guess he is only 30, the dreadful Bears history regarding QBs.

The legacy of the '21 draft just continues with QBs crashing and burning.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

I heard half a ham sandwich was also part of the trade
2023 Preseason Downside prediction:
5-6 wins, never really healthy all season, a constant shuffling.
We're potentially in a position to draft in the Top 5 again, depending on the Carolina team, and probably have a low-teens (or better) pick ourselves.

That's silly. It's a good trade for them. They gave up a whisper more than nothing.

If they get shut out in the draft, you can successfully tank with him, with an outside chance Payton can revive him.
If they get a QB in the draft and want to sit him, you can do as above for 1 year.
If they get a QB in the draft and want to start him, Wilson is a passable backup.

That said, it may be very good timing for bandwagon jumping to the Bears.

I laughed at this part of the article linked to in the tweet wab posted:
My favorite trades are the ones in which all parties get something they want. For instance, the Jets get to dump Zach Wilson and get something in return. I imagine this news is going over well among the members of that fan base. As for the Broncos, they get to add another quarterback with a pulse to their locker room.

Yeah, Wilson is actually a pretty good fit in Denver. I think he can bring his career back to life there.

If anyone's gonna make something out of Wilson, I'd bet Sean Payton would be someone who might.
KFFL refugee.

Denver has declined Wilson's 5th year option.
So Payton is not all in on this guy.
This is the new Tannehill maybe.
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Sadly, it does not involve the Bears.... :frustrated:

Well they did just sign Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick.

They now have 5 QBs, each one with a pulse.

The QB situation in Denver is going to be interesting.
