Not bad as depth at the bottom of the roster and compete with Ford IMO.
Bears sign RB Shaun Draughn

He was terrible with the Ravens last year...but so was the blocking and their entire run game. So, can't judge him yet. Good to create some competition.

Maybe a change of scenery, again, will help him.

Will we ever get this backup RB thing figured out?

Hopefully the answer comes late in the draft this year.

Well we have learned you can not bring in a high priced guy like Bush or Taylor. I think the next attempt has to be in the draft.wab wrote:Will we ever get this backup RB thing figured out?

Better, we'll be looking for a starting RB in a year or two.wab wrote:Will we ever get this backup RB thing figured out?
Hell, many think Seattle is going to part ways with Lynch after next year and he's the same age (actually 4.5 months younger) and making the same as Forte (actually Matt is 8.8 and Lynch 9 in cap hits next year).

I see the Bears worked out James White from Wisconsin. He's more of a 3rd down back, but I watched his vid vs South Carolina and he was impressive running through that all-star dline. He pass protected, blocked down field for receivers and scrambling (terrible) QB and generally looked like a good role-player that could become something more. Similar to Rajion Neal I'm seeing late round grades on him and I wouldn't mind our spending a 5th on RB.

After we sign Carey, I think you can officially list Draughn as a camp body.
