I'm subscribed to getting daily updates from each training camp day. I won't be posting the articles out of respect to the owner, but if anyone has any questions about any particular player, just ask me and I'll do my best to respond.

I think those of us who subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket should get the training camp of the team of our choice as well

maybe they haven't done this because not all of training camps are filmed for tv ... but at the very least, a daily recap of the events of your team, along with highlights if available, isn't too much to ask for

guess I'll be relying on WGN yet again ...

Kyle Long: Walls built in the locker room last year have been knocked down.

Jared Allen: Last year sucked ... It wasn't fun. It was miserable. I'm having fun again. (re: new coaches) It's almost like you're going to a pro bowl practice.

Arizona Rattlers’ A.J. Cruz signs with Chicago Bears
The three-time defending ArenaBowl champion Arizona Rattlers lost a key member of their team this week when the Chicago Bears of the NFL signed jack-of-all trades A.J. Cruz to a three-year deal.

Cruz, who was in his first season with the Rattlers, had played on offense, defense and special teams for head coach Kevin Guy. The 25-year-old had 27 receptions for 220 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran 11 times for 46 yards and three more scores.

Defensively, the 5-foot-9, 195-pounder registered 34 total tackles and six pass breakups.

But it was on special teams where the former Brown standout made his biggest impact. Cruz returned 51 kicks for 1,221 yards (23.9 yards per attempt) and six touchdowns — which is second in the AFL to Portland’s Duane Brooks, who has seven return touchdowns.

Cruz was signed by the Bears as a wide receiver and return specialist. He is the 12th receiver on Chicago’s depth chart.

Chicago Bears' Jared Allen Excited For Life As An Outside Linebacker
For the first time in his NFL career, Jared Allen will be playing as an outside linebacker.

Allen couldn’t be any more excited about the position change.

“I’m ready to go out and bust someone’s head open, honestly,” Allen said while speaking with reporters on the first day of Chicago Bears’ training camp.

Allen has spent his first 12 seasons in the NFL playing as a defensive end but that will be changing under new Bears’ head coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. The Bears will be employing a base 3-4 defense for first time in team history during the 2015 season. In their base 3-4 system, Allen will be considered an outside linebacker.

Allen is looking forward to putting the 2014 season behind him and having fun in 2015.

“Last year sucked; I’m not going to sugarcoat it,” Allen said. “There are always circumstances around i, but it is what it is. I want to have fun. Last year wasn’t fun. It was miserable. I didn’t transition well coming over from Minnesota like I thought I was going to. There were just all these different circumstances and I let them get to me. I shouldn’t have. I’m about as healthy as I can be right now. I just want to go out and have fun and play football and win football games and display my talents and help our team win. That’s all I want to do.”

I like his words and his attitude ... and it would greatly benefit the Bears to have him be a success at his new position, especially with what they're paying him

Chicago Bears will have a new look at training camp
Forty-seven of the 90 players on the roster at the June 16-18 minicamp were not on the 53-man roster at any time during the 2014 season. The Bears left last year's camp thinking playoffs but missed the postseason for the seventh time in eight years, losing five straight games to end the season.

~

This year's opening day lineup should have at least 10 different starters from opening day 2014, and even the returning players will be operating in different schemes.

change is good, yes? guess we'll see

Ineresting deal on White. Had little participation in OTAs due to this injury. Has to be more than a bruise. It will be like hockey and we will never find out.

here is the official explanation :
White won't participate in coach John Fox's first camp practice Thursday morning. And the timetable for his return is unknown.

Pace didn't express long-term worry over White's shin, which he injured during organized team activities last month. The Bears asked the promising rookie to stay off the leg thereafter and are taking a cautious approach to bringing him back.

"For us, it's more, hey, he has been inactive," Pace said. "We want to have more of a ramp-up phase as far as his cardio. So we'll start him on PUP to help build his cardiovascular endurance."

Excited to see reining Training Camp Hero Zach Miller defend his title. He'll have some tough competition from the UDFAs on defense.

White must have a stress fracture. First thought was possibly shin splints. But to ask no weight on it leads me to believe a worse injury.

One of the beat reporters reiterated that he was told it is not a significant injury and that White should probably be back by Family Night (August 8th).

Not significant now? Hell that is a week away and he did not fully participate in OTAs. Who knows what it was but hopefully he is on the mend and it is not something that will linger.

I have to say, for the first time in five years, I am not excited about training camp this year. Last year was a bust, its a whole new regime...AGAIN, but most of all....the Cubs are relevant again. I'll be back week 1.

GO BEARS!!! (and Cubs)

Bears are putting a stranglehold on the press for training camp, which is actually kind of par for the course.

Media's gonna bitch, though.

Goldman left practice due to dehydration. Might be something to watch. Sky is not falling, it's hot and humid, but he wasn't in good enough condition to keep up at rookie camp. Falls out of the second day of camp.

Cornelius Washington added 20 lbs of muscle and is getting reps at the 5-technique. He's up to 285 lbs (by my count).

I'll be going to camp tomorrow (unless I drink more than I intend to tonight). I'll try and post some things when I get back.
