the absolute #1 Bears modern era tradition I want to see drop kicked the f*ck outta town is their suck factor

unlike most other teams, who see a rebuilding process as a period in which to start over to get better, the Bears look upon it as just another reason to give the same old shit a new coat of gold paint and call it "new and improved"

with Pumpkinhead and his personal gonad massage boy Marinelli running the defense, I see the suck factor continuing on to laughable status (laughable to the rest of the league, not to us) for at least the next 2 years

pure gloom and pain

"we get off the bus running"

I hate outdated one-dimensional offenses masquerading as blue-collar toughness. Even worse is when it's absolutely not true. This is NOT a running team. A running team would have more than one decent running back, a real fullback and a tight end that can block. 1,492 yards for an entire f*&king team is not "ground and pound." It's fall down and stay down. That's 1,492 for the entire g*d damn team. There's half a dozen guys in the league that came close to that by themselves. Thomas Jones missed it by 90 yards. That's one average game for him.

1,492 is good for 29TH in rushing. The only teams worse were Houston, San Diego and Indianapolis... and all three of them were in the top 5 passing. Every time I hear "we get off the bus running" I want to f*&K Lovie in the face with a broken shovel.

The lack of a ruthless pursuit of winning is what I want to see them lose.

Keeping Lovie and his defense is the perfect example. Or keeping Ron Turner for all those years because he's a favorite of the owners.

Any team that's happy being "one of the best" or near the top... won't be for long.

There's been this lackadaisical sense of apathy around Halas Hall the whole Angelo regime where almost every year, they say "we only need to readjust 1 or 2 things" like they're SO close to being a superbowl worthy team. Then they go 7-9, etc. The last couple years have been SLIGHTLY different as they're at least making very bold moves to try and bring in top-tier talent, but the coaching staff frustration is a tough pill to swallow sometimes.

If Lovie goes 11-5 and takes us to the NFC championship, I'll consider jumping back on his wagon.

That used to be my thinking.

Now that JA and Lovie went all-in with Peppers and Taylor, Super Bowl or bust.

But I'm just hoping for a 6-10 season.

Ask me a week ago and I'd be thrilled but at this point I'd be pretty disappointed with 6-10. Based on the money being thrown around, I assume everyone in Halas Hall would be too.
