Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale

I don't know if Jones can play OG, but if he can then I'd keep him on the left and get Jenkins lined up next to Wright again. As it stands I don't see Jones playing inside as much as I can see either Wright or Amengadjie playing there. We have three guys drafted as OT all of whom can play OG. If Jo...

Re: What about 2025???

I really hope we don't use any of that draft capital to pay for in-season moves. I am now pretty bullish on the bears winning 11+ games, which will put us in the lower half of the draft. We want to be able to use that capital to ensure healthy (and affordable) roster turnover. We also want to be ab...

Before we crown his ass for the starting LT next year, let's remember he was playing against Ivy League talent. I seem to recall another promising Bears OL from the Ivy League ... what was his name? Ah yes - Dieter Eiselen, now with the Texans. Remember how excited some of us were? - https://i.make...

The funniest part about this thread is that Atlanta didn’t need to lose their 1st round position to help the Bears. They fucked that pick up all on their own.

I'm impressed with anyone that got the first three. I had never heard of Kiran Amegadjie before this weekend, but watching his tape, I'm glad we drafted him.

Probably makes the Sheila happy as well.
She's a Chicagoan so she's probably already planning a Michigan Ave shopping trip.
She's also from Winnetka, so she's probably marrying down in class and income.

It's Chicago and I don't even think it's that close. I know everyone on this board is of course partial to Chicago, but it's really not close. Funny thing, for me personally, I would put Seattle at #2, but they aren't even in the list. Of those that are on the list, I would rank the 49ers 2nd, alth...

That's right! It's time for the Post NFL Draft Meatball Fan Overreaction thread. Many NFL pundits gave the Bears an A on their draft this year, and how could they not. Ryan Poles knocked it out of the park. If we count Keenan Allen as part of the draft class, then it truly was franchise altering. W...

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GLUcjcQXcAAMV8w?format=jpg&name=900x900 Not quite up to Poles' normal RAS standard, but I'd imagine a bit of work in the gym will boost it up. it's probably the reason he lasted as long as he did. Crosby, who he is sometimes compared to, had a 9.6 RAS. His agility sc...

Re: R3 P75: Kiran Amegadjie, OT - Yale

It's the unsexiest pick ever, but it really speaks to Poles' patient, methodical approach to building this team. I dont think Braxton showed quite as much growth in year 2 as Bears brass would have liked to see (although I blame some factors beyond his control on that). This is the fire under Braxt...

After watching a bunch of this kid since he was picked, I too think he’s the LT of the future. I hate saying that because I love Braxton, but this kid looks like the goods. I've been watching a lot of his tape and he plays so much bigger than 6'5". His arms are crazy long. DE's can't even get ...

I don't know if it will put me to sleep, but I understand what you're saying Marshall. I also expect Poles to evaluate the team 4-5 games into the 2024 season, and look to use some of his draft capital to shore up weak spots. I do expect that Poles will continue looking for OL value in the 2nd and 3...

My only hope for Tevin is that he plays so well and is healthy, he becomes impossible to let go. Maybe we'll cut Davis after this coming season and use that savings to extend Tevin. But then you still have Jones coming due the following season and Wright the year after.... :( It might just come dow...

I went to a Chicago Fire game last night at Soldier Field. I was in the general population stands, and not in a suite. No you're right. He's a cm short of 6'6", and about 325lbs. Watch his tape and you can see how well he carries it too. It's the 36"+ arms that are the crazy part.

If Amegadjie grabs the LT position in 2025 like I think he will. And Poles has effectively reset the clock on the QB, WR, and LT positions in a single draft class. It will go down as the greatest draft since the Bears won the Super Bowl in 1985.
